    On **** I stopped at Shell to pump gas. I was in a hurry, as I was very low, so I didn't pay attention to the price. When the pump stopped I was at $100! I looked at the price on the pump and it said $3.99 a gallon. According to my receipt the actual price charged was $4.03. I had .03 off per gallon, so the pricing is all wrong in every way. I looked across the street and the gas station there was at $3.15. Every station that I saw, within the next 90 miles until returning home, was $3.19 or lower. I tried calling the station, to see if there was an error in the price, and the guy said "it's just how our manager has it set right now." When I called Shell Corporate I had already continued on my drive. They asked for the station's address and when I said I was driving they said they couldn't continue the call if I didn't pull over. I told the lady that I was hands free, as the call went through my truck, but she told me it didn't matter. I feel they are price gouging and receiving a huge amount of money over fraudulent pricing and they're just trying to avoid the problem in any way possible. I feel that they should have to refund myself and probably a whole lot of others, considering every other station was .85, or more, lower.

    To the better business beaureau: Thank you for contacting us on this matter. Our prices are accurately posted and charged According to all laws. This is regularly verified by the state of ** department of weights and measures. Price gouging and fraud are legal terms and not a matter of feeling or opinion, nor should they be thrown around lightly. On this basis no refund will be issued. Shells phone policies reflect our value of customer safety. Thank you.
