I was scheduled for a follow-up appointment with *********************** on August 31st 2023. I had previously consulted with her at this business' run-down office in west *******. I waited in their office for an hour and 15 minutes past the time of my scheduled appointment. During this, maddeningly, no one bothered whatsoever to tell me why I was waiting. Only after asking the man at reception twice, did he trouble himself to get on the phone. I should also point out I was the sole person sitting in this waiting room. When ************** finally showed up, without apology, she asked me if I wanted to keep the appointment. After waiting that long, of course I still wanted to keep the appointment! In retrospect I shouldn't have, owing to the extreme unprofessionalism, and as I was now too upset to have any sort of meaningful exchange with this person. In the time between this first horrible experience and the telehealth appt, I was fortunate enough to find another provider. Therefore, the moment the follow-up appt with ************** began, I informed her thank you very much, but I am being seen by another office and your services are no longer required. That was it. This phone call lasted all of a minute if that. My insurance had taken care of the original visit, yet I was still required to pay $20 out of pocket which I did the very day I received the bill on Sept 18th. Thus I was shocked to receive yet another $20 bill a week or so ago. Their billing department contacted me and said well, ************** reported you had a full session (which I'm quite sure is fraud), and your insurance has already been billed. I let them know there was in fact NO session, and you have a lot of nerve billing me. She then asked, "so you're refusing to pay?" To which I answered "of course I'm refusing to pay". That was the end of it, until today when I once again, received an online bill. Yes, $20 is nothing, but now it's principle. I would also not like to see this sham outfit affect my credit. Thank you.
