We recently had cork flooring put in by this company. Originally contracted with this company to have 3 bedrooms, hallway and set of stairs done (with stair/treads). Because of the owners impending ******* and the fact that one of her installers is her soon to be her **, she was down to one installer for the bedrooms/hall and one for the stairs (who later ended up not available for the job because she over booked him and didn't schedule us in, even thought she had 5 or more months to do so). We put down an $,4,000.00+ deposit and she demanded an additional $895 before she would start our job (early this August and we have no idea why.We booked a hotel suite for 3 days months prior in order to have somewhere to go while all this work was taking place as advised. Because of her being down to one installer, we had to skip one of the bedrooms because we had only booked reservations enough for the estimated time frame we were previously given when she was not shorthanded, and it would have been impossible to book any more hotel time at the last minute. She then informed us that the stair guy was too busy to get to us this year and that job would not be done also.Owner refuses to refund us any money even though we initially were quoted for 3 laborers and 3 brooms, a hallway and a set of stairs with treads, and we feel the little bit of work that was done is definitely not worth almost $5,000.00. We also feel she manipulated the invoices to make it look like she doesn't owe us any money and we are angry and disgusted with her and her company. We unfortunately were not given a breakdown for all supplies and labor before we signed the contract. We hope to spare others from being cheated and not having their jobs completed as contracted for.
