This place really disappointed me. They know they made a mistake about not billing my insurance for an ER trip and show no accoutability. The sent us bill for the visit and we knew we made our deductible, yet they ended up sending the bill late and our insurance denied the claim. They keep telling me it's in review and they can do nothing about sending this bill to collections, yet they never indicated they were doing so. We pay our bill on time all the time, now beause of their error our credit score took a hit. This is not good business. Just sad

This organization refuses to file the medical insurance for a ER visit at SSM Health in **** ** ***, WI. The insurance information was provided correctly, but has never been filed. Madison Emergency Physicians, SC continues to send bills. SSM Health says the bills are all paid and nothing is owed. But since MEP, SC is a contractor with SSM Health, the insurance isn't filed. When I call them, the number is not answered and if by chance after hundreds of rings, you are put on hold for ever. No one ever picks up. I have contacted them via an email portal on the ********************, and no one ever responds. Most of the bills sent did not even have a date or location of service on the statement, some do. This is clearly a sham of an organization. Also, because Madison Emergency Physicians contracts with hospitals, you have no idea in the ER what you are getting into. Horrible organization.

Twice last year, MEP double billed me even though the billing department at *** ****** confirmed that I had no balance owed. After I called to dispute tge first bill, it was canceled based on a recording I left. But they tried to collect on the second bill for eight months, finally sending it to a collection agency. At no point could I speak with a billing rep.

I have been contacting this company for months now trying to get them to submit my bill to the insurance properly. They keep telling me they have submitted it but then when I call my insurance they have no record of it. My insurance company already paid the bill the hospital sent me with no issue. Now I have a second bill from them for my husband and its the exact same problem. Either they don't know what they are doing or they are pretending to not know what they are doing so they can pressure people into paying the bill without sending it to insurance so it doesn't get sent to collections.

This company is as close to a scam as I have seen. I went to St. ****** in July for chest pains. All the billing was done correctly with the exception of this company. They are a out of network provider for most insurance carriers that operates in an in network facility. My insurance company was very helpful, but is not able to deal with this company. The customer service number I called is generic at best. Absolutely no help at all, so I have no choice but to pay this bill to keep my credit score.

This company is responsible for billing emergency room visits at St. *************** in Madison, WI. We had to take our son in to the hospital early summer 2022 due to an asthma attack from the wildfire smoke. Our insurance was billed for the majority of the cost of the visit, which was paid. We were not ever billed by Madison Emergency Physicians for any remaining cost, but received a notice from a collections agency for $25 on October 28th. We have been trying to reach the company, but they only have a voicemail and no live person to speak with. The reviews on ****** reveal this as a common pattern (no billing, sometimes no billing of insurance, sending straight to collections without any notice to clients). As many mention, this kind of behavior is harmful to the clients of that hospital, whose credit scores can suffer due to this aggressive, predatory act. People should beware.
