seiler bros where contacted to plow snow after snow event, first contact *** screamed at me on the phone on a Thursday at 1230pm that he was sleeping and hung up on me He then a hour later called back and stated I should be lucky he was doing this for me ( Seiler Bros Has been clearing our snow for several years) He also stated since my yard is a secured yard and has a locked fence that he will knock the fence down and then plow keeping in mind this company has lost 3 keys that where provided to them in the past
they showed up on Monday 3 days after the snow event which was just fine and should have allowed time to do a proper job
I showed up that day later after they where done and found side walks not done, over 1/2 of the lot not done multiple area dug up under grade
and sent a massive 350.00 plus bill I sent later pictures showing the job not done and all the damages incurred and to settle for what was actually done since another company had to come in to actually do the job correct and that I had to fix all the damages Someone on the next bill they sent wrote some snotty comments and said we will start charging interest now
Since I have asked several times in writing to do whats right It is my position now that this option is off the table Quit sending me bills do not contact me ever again and further more I've seen your concrete work on 3 driveways of my old neighbors and they all where call backs from bad poor work Which leaves me with the opinion Seiler Bros has a lot of quality and poor workmanship issues and that *** is a poor business man I can't speak of the other 2 brothersBusiness Response

Sr of Wisconsin has a repo lot in manitowoc. We do NOT plow them regularly. When we got the 12 inch snowfall in December 2023 he contacted us a day later to plow it. It had already turned to sub zero temps but we went and did it. He only calls us when he wants a favor and he always calls us days later. Out of the kindness of my heart we sent someone there to plow it. The yard is full of things a spanking and old boards and pallets and tons of things were hidden under the snow. We did the best we could to make lanes so that our truck wouldn’t get wrecked with everything hidden under the snow and as I said. Sub zero temps happened the day after the snow as the city roads weren’t even scraped because they couldn’t get salt to take or scrape them either but we did the best we could under the circumstances that we are never in the lot except maybe once a year when he desperately calls us. I have been sending him a bill since 2023 and he feels he doesn’t need to pay for anything that we did in sub zero tempsCustomer Answer

[Please type your response here.]It is a true statement we only call when we want service further more when Seiler Bros started plowing in the beginning this fact was agree'd to CALL WHEN NEED it was also agreed you can come after your main accounts where completed THIS IS WHAT YOU AGREED TOO ! Seiler was contacted the day before the storm ( I have proof of this) I also can provide proof to anyone of anytime that my yard is not nor has ever been filled with any debris that would impend a proper snow plow job If this false statement where true why do multiple tow trucks drive in and out of this yard everyday False again weather did not freeze in fact which can be proven the weather warmed up so much it actually melted the snow showing all the damage and that there was no debris as a matter of fact you have those pictures The next fact you have now stated in this that you had a truck in my yard when I have kept the video from the camera at the lot showing a payloader and only a payloader Yes you have sent multiple bills and yes I have sent you multiple pictures of your poor work and damages that a professional company should know better. I have pictures, video's documents ( PROOF) of your lies Mr Seiler I'm giving you a out again you should take it This won't be the end otherwise I HAVE PROOF !

Yes that's a story all right a fictional one none the less Today I spoke with legal company in Manitowoc Showed all my info and photo's plus video's and your written response and this attempt currently going on here. I was told don't pay them let them take you to court That a judge will never believe a payloader or skidsteer can't move frozen snow, further if it was so frozen why was there huge sections of the lot dug out below grade Also I should consider what all the damages are that I had to repair and take a action against your company and that this may boarder on fraud.I have tried to work this out I have sent you proof of my concerns You have always gotten paid in the past because you did the full job with out damaging the lot, in the same and worst conditions You don't wish to or want to do take responsibility for the bad and uncompleted work nor the damages There is nothing left to discuss

I have an agreed price of $10,000 for replacing concrete in existing basement & $25,000 to do concrete ************ work in our new addition. As the work progressed, I was told the only additional charge would be a pumper truck to disperse the concrete for $1800 (the pumper was used 3 times?) & $400 to cut a second opening in existing basement. The sidewalk that is listed on Seiler's' sheet was torn out but not replaced ($625 ). When Seiler completed the job, it was done in a very unsatisfactory manner. I submitted 11 concerns which most were under played. At that time **** gave me a bill for $21,000 more than the $35,000 agreed upon. This job is very substandard & should be torn out to rectify their mistakes. I have numerous pictures & a chart showing how wavy the floor was poured/ I paid Seiler a total of $38,756Business Response

We were contract by **** ****** to put an addition on to his house. As the project was under way he changed things. We tore out by hand his existing basement and put a new floor in and then proceeded to also do the addition as the estimate was changing I talked to **** that it was going to be e additional costs. He agreed
everything went well. And told **** we needed a conveyor 3 times to get to the back of the house and he agreed on that cost
all was satisfactory work done and no complaints as I sent him invoices every week as work progressed Never heard anything from ****. Now its been over a month and I called to ask when payment was going to be sent out for our finished work and all of a sudden he has complaints. Nothing is wrong with the job and I would assumed I would have been told about it right away not after a month of not paying me.
he paid a portion of it and told me he cant pay any more as he thought it wouldnt be that much after we repeatedly told him as he was adding and changing that its added to the cost
I would like to receive payment in full for the requested job done that was done absolutely right

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This is the poorest concrete job that I have seen. Nothing was taken care of . **** & 2 guys came over & looked at the job after I complained. **** tried to clean off the concrete from the water heater & furnace. A little better. The 2 guys tried to grind the rough areas. Did not do much good. Both concrete floors have the drains as the high spots in the rooms The wall poured is way out of plumb. Very unhappy with her attitude towards the job & me. & the fact she wants to charge $23,000 more than the origin quote. *** Seiler & I talked right before starting & went over the cost- $10,000 for the original basement floor & $25,000 for the addition . Along with the listed problems, not listed was the foundation. It did not pass inspection. Now I have to correct that problem.
I thought that a company could not charge additional amounts without notifying me so I could approve or reject it. That did not happen. The only charge I was told about was $1800 for a pumper truck. That fee ended up being $6000. I paid that amount. The things changed was the new basement was not dug as deep as planned & one course of block was not installed. Should have been less expensive. Water problem .The wall had a 4x4 opening for one egress window, which I installed & purchased, less work & less block. I purchased the drain tile for the project- no credit shown for that, 6 feet of concrete was not installed- no credit shown.
