      My unit was infested with mice. The mice defecated and urinated all over the unit and the adjacent unit. This contaminated my personal effects. Also:- Some of the clothes was damaged by mice.-I tried to sort this out with their people to no avail. All they did was focus on other issues instead of focusing on customer service.Rating 1.5 Stars, a plethora of room for improvement.

      We did expect to see this complaint as a result of a prior call by the client. We have notes in our customer file referring to the call and customer threats. Unfortunately, he was upset that we didn't refund his deposit because he had not provided a 30 day notice as specified in his lease agreement. When we made him aware of this, he immediately threatened to make these complaints. More specifically, it was stated he "didn't give a c*** about the contract" and stated that he "will leave a crappy review about the business and he will say that we are rat infested" He said he wouldn't do it if we gave his deposit back. These are not climate conditioned facilities, and we do recommend customers take precautions to properly store their goods in containers so they withstand storage in a garage or outbuilding for a long period of time, and refrain from storing items that would be sources of food or draw animals and pests in that are attracted to items stored in the units.We are disappointed by the review, but we do provide guidance in our lease on proper storage methods, limitations on what can be stored and guidance on giving notice and final clean up to ensure customers can receive their deposit back. Most are able to comply with the guidelines in the lease, but we also have a number that do fall short of the customer's obligations.
