My wife and I purchased a boiler in 2015 from (Williamson Thermoflo) the boiler is now malfunctioning and is still under warranty but the boiler company refuses to honor the warranty to either repair or replace the boiler. They are claiming due to improper operations and maintenance that the boiler failed even though we have a Contractor and PSE&G gas and electric Company maintain our boiler and never mentioned any improper operation and maintenance on our part.

We would be happy to investigate this complaint.  In order to do so, the complaint is missing relative detail.  Please provide the model number and control product number of the appliance, as well as the warranty reference number that was issued for this case by our warranty dept.

      Thank you,

Thank you for contacting us with your concerns. *** ********************* has reviewed your claim.  *** limited warranty for GSA Boilers states the following:

      This warranty does not cover:

      4. Improper Burner Adjustments, control settings, care or maintenance. Information is included in the installation instructions, Owners information and/or star-up, Service and Maintenance instructions, and other printed technical material furnished by the manufacturer with the boiler.

*** photos from the original claim were reviewed with our ***************** Agents.  ***re were several things noted in the photos, but additional photos of the piping would help.

*** photos clearly show the failure being due to Oxygen Corrosion. This is caused by a combination of things, to include but not limited to the following.

      1. Repair leaking vents, traps, piping and any other source of steam and water
loss. This will reduce the amount of make-up water, which, in turn, reduces the
amount of oxygen introduced into the system and makes the pH of the water
      easier to control.
      2. Maintain proper boiler water line as recommended in boiler manual.
      3. Do not drain boiler after heating season.
      4. Maintain pH of boiler water between 7.0 and 8.5.

Enclosed is a copy of your Limited Warranty for your review and records. We thank you for the opportunity to review your claim.
