This company called me and asked if I wanted a $49.99 A/C check up. I agreed the technician came out, found numerous issues with my furnace and air conditioner. The work completed was to replace capacitors in both the furnace and the air conditioner and to clean the blower fan in the furnace. The first price given was about $1700 to fix everything and then the price changed and the boss said he could do it for $1100 if I fixed it today. I felt like I was buying a car at a used car lot. I paid the invoice and then another technician came and said he was going to evaluate the static airflow issue, but that is an additional cost which was not related to me. I thought the price I paid would fix all the issues. The technician told me what he thought the issue was, but never told me how much it would cost to fix it for the static airflow. The technicians attitude was condescending and he had a ********** badge on his bag. This is a bait and switch business model so beware if this company calls you or if you do any business with them. Their prices are very inflated as well. The Manager offered me 2 movie tickets for the trouble needless to say the $49.99 check up costed me a lot more. Lesson learned but do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere so what happened to me doesn’t happen to you.

Where to even begin with this company. In fall of 2022 they came out to assess our hvac units (our house is unique in that there are 2 separate hvac systems for the up and downstairs of the home). They tell us the upstairs furnace is leaking CO and needed immediate replacing. We meet with the sales rep and decide to replace the AC unit as well bc we were under the assumption that was the older of the 2 ACs. We were going to be out of town when they came to replace the hvac but the salesman assured us all would be ok. We return from our trip to discover that they had replaced the brand new AC unit that was 1 year old and left the older one since it turned out that the newer one was actually connected to the upstairs system. No one contacted us to make sure this was what we wanted or to check if that was correct. We ended up speaking to a manager and they agreed to replace the other AC free of charge come spring. Fast forward to this winter- they return to do the yearly assessment and tell us our downstairs furnace has a cracked heat exchanger and needs replacement. Upon getting a 2nd opinion it was advised that while it is old it is functioning well and would not recommend replacement. This company is only out for your money and will take full advantage of naive new homeowners. They will tell you anything to sell you on a new hvac system that is over priced and un needed. If I could give 0 stars I would.

    Hello,

We believe we have found the customer, as we searched our entire database for any clues etc. We have attempted to reach out the customer whom has a different name listed from the name that's listed on this direct compliant. We left the customer a voicemail in hopes he connects with us to allow us the opportunity to address any issues and concerns. We have a few pictures of the cracked heat exchanger on the customers account. Our management team is more than happy to come out to the customers home to go over all details, images etc found regarding the cracked heat exchanger.

    Thank you!

Yes the account is under my husbands name but you did service my home. Weve now had 2 outside opinions and both have said the furnace is in working order and does not need replacement furthering our suspicions that you are only out for peoples money. Thank you all so much for your time, we will not be needing your services any time ever.

Hello,A working furnace does not indicate that there isn't a problem with the heat exchanger. We have several photos posted on your account with a ************* stamp from when ************** was at your home that clearly show several cracks in the heat exchanger. I can not confirm that the other two companies that verified the operation of your system took the time to use an HD inspection camera to verify the condition of the heat exchanger. We would be more than happy to provide you with the photos we have and are willing to offer to send a technician out and show in-person with an inspection camera the fail point on the heat exchanger. A cracked heat exchanger is not safe to operate in your home and it or the furnace should be replaced. While we did make a mistake and removed the wrong (newer) A/C during the attic system replacement, we did offer and install a replacement of the lower unit A/C to correct our mistake at no additional cost to you.

REFUND MY MONEY .... I have made several calls in almost 2 weeks and still waiting. You came out to do a furnace tune up. You recommend work to be done that isn't necessary to get an extra dime! I called another company the day you left to get a second option and they observed that the part you suggested to be replaced looked like it was damaged and there is no way it came that way from manufacturer originally that way. I remind you this is the 2nd tune up on my furnace so why wasn't it noticed the first time? That's right because you damaged it to try to get a repair order out of it! You also recommended to add an additional cold air return and quoted me $1,600 well the other company quoted me $300.00. Why such a HUGE difference! SCAM SCAM SCAM. Shame on you just to get extra money from people. I have cancelled the unnecessary monthly membership and I'm still trying to STILL get my money back!!!

Hello,We've been in contact directly with the customer informing her of the refund process. We've also sent the customer a refund receipt for her records as well so she's completely aware that the refund request has been submitted for the amount of $565.48. The refund request was submitted to our accountant November 6th 2023. The customer was then informed the refund would take **** business days to process depending on her financial institution. It's technically only been 8 business days. Our company has a refund process that we directly follow to ensure accuracy so we apologize that this could not be processed overnight. It is unfortunate that ******* is upset with the time-frame it will take to receive the refund and we sincerely apologize as this is out of our control once the refund has been submitted. We've completed all tasks required on our end to ensure the customer's refund was processed successfully. Capital has been in the **** industry for many many years and we always strive to provide superior service to all of our customers. It's very normal for parts and units to come from the manufacturer damaged as most of the time they go through packaging, shipping, manufacture errors etc. We offer 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed, please allow us the opportunity to address all of your issues and concerns. We encourage you to connect with us directly to address your complaints. Thank you! 11/17/2023-Response did not send

REFUND MY MONEY AS PROMISED in several phone calls... I want my money back and have tried to get it for serval weeks now!!! I have been waiting on a refund of about 8K for over 12 days and you said it was coming... 1 year ago they cleaned my vents and then damaged my door jam, I forgave them. I bought the service plan, not sure about the benefit because I have spent over 8 grand in service/products and some I didn't need, BUT was told I needed. Then they told me, after they told me my systems were great, that I needed to expand my ALL vents on a house built by a great builder less then 12 years ago ~ costing me 11K which another 2 HVAC told me I did not need. At the same visit (over 3 weeks ago) I was told again my systems were great, only to be told this Saturday that my AC and/or furance now were in need of critical repair... after I questioned it the repair guy walked back his claim and said it was his mistake "everything is fine" and then tried to upsell another vent cleaning for over 2k. I have now canceled the unnecessary monthly membership and I'm still trying to STILL get my $$ back for the deposit and uncessary dehumidifier that I neever needed that they said I could return for all my money!!!

We own a duplex and have two furnaces side by side. Last winter we called Capital Heating and Cooling because of a sound the older furnace was making. They told us that the replacement part was $1,000, and they recommended we replace the furnace entirely. Then they convinced us to replace the air conditioning unit at the same time for a total cost of $8,000. Later I found out this is a common sales tactic by HVAC companies and I was disappointed that I didn't do better research into the repair. Today they came out to service the new furnace. The other furnace was not being serviced as part of this visit and it is about 10 years old. I work out in the basement almost every day right near these furnaces. When I came home today, this other furnace which was not being serviced was making the biggest racket when it was running. It could be heard from the entryway and in our bedroom. There is NO WAY that the furnace was making that noise prior to the Capital Heating and Cooling technician coming. Of course my husband says the tech spent two hours in the basement (servicing a brand new furnace) and afterwards he told my husband that this other furnace (which he should not have touched) needed an expensive repair. He also recommended that we get an HVR system installed and duct cleaning for about $3,000. I have no doubt in my mind that our furnace was tampered with, and I sincerely regret allowing this company back in my home.
