We had contracted with this moving company and we paid an extra $2,387.40 for "Day Certain Load" which means we were given a date when our furniture would be delivered in *********.We received a partial load on the 6th of September and the rest of our furniture on the 13th of September. The contract dates were from 8-26-22 to 9-07-22 and we feel that they did not deliver as promised.I did contact them and I was told there would not be any refund. And we also contacted our attorney and he said businesses like this know most people will not *** them for such a small amount. He recommended I write to the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. It is so disappointing to deal with a business that is only concerned about profits and not delivering on their contracts. I did submit a negative report to the higher *** at ******* and never heard anything. THEY ARE A RIP OFF COMPANY - SENIORS AVOID THEM!!

The customer complaint by ************** indicates that they paid for a Day Certain Load. This only guarantees a specified loading date which was August 24th, 2022. Day Certain Load does not pertain to the delivery date. There is nothing in the contract that guarantees one specific delivery date, but rather a window of delivery dates, which was August 26th to September 7th.
There was a major discrepancy in the number of items that were moving versus what was actually moved as told to the salesperson by the Senior Move Manager. Because of this, an overflow portion of the shipment was created which was delivered at a separate time from the main load. The main load of the shipment was delivered within the delivery window, on August 31st with the overflow delivered on September 12th. Even though the overflow portion of the shipment was delivered outside of the window stated on the contract, per Tariff item 63, overflow does not qualify for the delay terms, hence the denial of any refund on his move costs. The customers signature on the contract is his acknowledgment of his understanding of these terms as outlined.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
      it
my understanding was I was paying for a delivery date, not a loading date. It is obvious that Anchor is not a reputable company or they would have tried to work with me.  Almost 200 consumer complaints have been made in ** regarding moving companies this year!  It is a self-serving industry that gleefully rips people off and nothing happens to them!  Buyer Beware especially of Anchor Moving and their cohorts in crime!
