      We hired **** for the first time for our 2022 taxes and our experience was much like the other BBB complaint. To keep this short, I'll list the main points:- We met with **** in April to start our taxes and sent emails every week asking for updates and **** kept providing delay excuses including that he was travelling, he has been busy with his kid, and then that his contractor was on vacation - When we hired him he didn't mention that he was using a contractor to do our taxes, we hired **** thinking he would be doing everything - Then worst of all, he filed our unfinished taxes without our permission and we had to contact the ***** We ended up hiring a ******** professional to file for us and they had to do an ammendment against ****'s fraudulent filing

      I contacted **** 3 times between fall 2022 and spring 2023 asking if he had an opening for my personal taxes, to which he confirmed. I dropped all my documentation off at his office the last week of March 2023 and was told they would be complete in the next few weeks. After not hearing from him, I had to contact him 2 times asking for updates. It was then found that he contracted out our taxes which was not approved by me. On April 17th, I contacted **** again and was told my taxes were finally complete. On April 18th, I paid $200 after he gave me a $50 credit for the delays. On April 27, I received an email via Gmail stating he debited the fee and attached an unsecured PDF of all mine and my family's tax information including income, address, and full SSN of me, my husband and infant son. In this email, he said that he would mail our documents back to **. I responded asking what type of encryption was used for my PII and said that I did not want my information mailed and that I would come by his office. **** responded promptly letting me know he would be out of office and did not address my security concerns. After asking when he would be back in office, I was ignored. On 5/3, I received a priority mail envelope dated 5/2 with all our PII including SSNs. There was no signature or other security precautions taken to secure these documents. I have now had to freeze mine, my husband's and infants credits and will now have to pay for credit monitoring at the risk my email is compromised with all our information in it. For the time I am having to take to secure our identity, I am requesting a full refund of our services.
