Scholarship Calendars representative ********************* located in ******** ** contacted me about advertising for the ******************* Fall Sports calendar. This transaction took place on 7/18/22. We paid via credit card. It was two spots for $500 which I purchased as our company is 90 years old and in the **************** and also many employees have graduated from CG high school. I sent the payment and the printed brochures arrived at the school and my office. The high school called us and said they cannot hand out these calendars as we are not an approved sponsor for their school. All along this was never mentioned or written on their contract. The email is deceptive as it reference mom in the working ********************* I did not think the email was strange as lots of parents volunteer at their schools for fundraisers etc. I have since talked to the Athletic Director at the school and they have never heard of Scholarship Calendars before. So this is a scam and I'm sure they do this for many other schools out there!

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Hello: **************** is completely missing the point in his response so I'll make it clear for him.

    1.  If you are promoting a school's sports calendar and selling advertising for said school, the school would be aware of this and approve of you selling the advertising.  THIS is not the case.  You get the sports dates and add the school's logo and sell the advertising.  When the school gets the calendars they are surprised because they don't know who the vendor is and the VENDOR is not on the school's approved list.

    2. Because the school does not know or recognize Scholarship Calendars as one of their vendors is the issue NOT that *********************** is not a recognized sponsor.

    3.  The email that ********************* uses is the scam part of this whole operation.  Instead of using a company email like ******************************* it is ********************* <********************> hence the confusion which to me as a parent and former school PTO president makes it appear that ********************* is ***'s mom and a possible volunteer selling advertising for the school.

    4.  Yes I did see the proof and approved the artwork.  That is irrelevant to this complaint.  I approved the artwork in good faith thinking that I was advertising with a company that worked with ***************************************** and was an approved vendor which is the POINT here.

I would still like my money refunded for this advertising.

    Regards,

    *********************
