We remodeled our house in 2023. Our contractor ordered solid core doors from Western, and the doors received were damaged. Western continued to replace the doors with MORE damaged doors. They sent out their repair man who guaranteed that we would not be able to tell where he repaired damaged areas; this was completely false. They sent new doors, that were again damaged. We have sent photo proof of the damaged corners to multiple doors, stripped screws to the point that one door fell off the hinge, and what appears to be spackle on a door that will not come off. Western is now refusing to replace the doors saying they weren't damaged. I have photo proof of these doors, some still in packaging, of the damage. Further, they sent doors that have already been patched, and I have photo proof of those as well (again, some still in packaging). This is completely unacceptable and intolerable.

The were delivered damaged from day one, so i have no idea about a warranty.  The repair man was here during the summer. I don't want them repaired, I want them replaced. I paid for brand new doors, not repaired doors. Especially since you can see exactly where they repair the doors. I want brand new doors like I paid for.

    Hello BBB,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  We will review this matter with our direct customer and the builder in this matter.  We have been to this site many times and the last visit has record of jobsite modifications to our product which would eliminate the possibility of the damage happening at our facility based on the how the doors were modified.  We will review this with our customer and get updated on the current status of the job.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I would like to know what "job site modifications" are being refereneced. Western was on-site once. Not multiple times. They performed "repairs" that we were promised would not be noticeable.  Repairs were made and they were extremely noticeable. We paid for brand new doors, not repaired doors. Further, the last doors that were sent are still in the box they were sent to us in. They were never installed because they came damaged, in the original shipping box, of which I have photos that I have submitted. We've had a door fall off the hinge due to stripped s**** holes, and yes my husband put a new s**** in to hold it up. There have not been any modifications made that have damaged the corners of multiple doors. Again photos submitted. I was contacted this morning and told someone would be in contact to come out to look at our doors. They have not scheduled a time yet. I look forward to showing them how poor their unaltered product is in person.  Hopefully they will schedule a time to come soon.

    Regards,
