    I am writing this to caution consumers about using JL Construction in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their listed address is 2531 N. 45th Street . The company is set up like you are speaking to Jair, however, you will be speaking to his business partner Javier. Please note that the corporation is actually listed under his partner's name, Javier. You will find them on Facebook but you will be unable to write a review at their profile. We contracted this company to frame our basement and to install four doors. Many issues were found with the framing and all 4 doors needed to be reinstalled with a new contractor. Issues with the framing included a top plate not being nailed to the top joist, several two by fours that were not attached to the wall, a wall that needed to be disassembled and rebuilt, poorly attached shims and bottom plates. This contractor attempted to bait and switch us by requiring a 0 down payment and then reversing themselves to a 50% down payment. We asked them to fix our areas of concern and they instead blamed us for creating the issues and then “ghosted” us in our communication. Please be careful and make sure to vet your contractors.
