    I hired Felten Construction of Milwaukee, WI on 11/19/22 for inside home improvements (to replace drywall, 15 interior doors and frames, a bathroom sink, medicine chest mirrors and paint all the interior walls in the house). He asked for half down ($6,750) of the written contract. He asked for another $1000 on 12/29/22 and another $1000 on 1/28/23 for painting, materials and labor. The contract had no start or completion dates. The contract only listed the interior door work but nothing about the rest of the job (the work and materials, the hourly rates and warranty were not listed either). On 10/17/23 (after 11 months) the work still had not been completed. He completed the drywall work and replaced the bathroom sink. No doors were replaced or any other work. I don’t even have a bathroom door! For months, at times, there was little contact (no calls-no shows when promised); too much time with too little work done. My time had no value to him. This means I will have to hire a new contractor to complete the job. I asked for the remainder of my money back. He gave me a copy of the receipts, and hours he stated he worked and a check for what he said was the balance. I would never hire him again.
