Terrible experience and will be pulling all funds invested with Baird. Their issues internally and confusion/lack of follow through have made our house buying experience extremely stressful and we were not able to close for the home as planned solely due to Baird mistakes. My partner and I planned on using invested funds as the down payment for our house. We discussed this with Baird months before and then when we received an accepted offer we called and notified them further and asked what the process would be like moving forward to liquidate and transfer. We were reassured by multiple different people at Baird that it was a simple process and they would send us some forms to finalize so we could link our investment account with our checking account. The forms were promptly returned to Baird and the rep told us they had everything they needed. We followed up again and were informed they did not move anything forward on their end after over a week. We told them we would now need to complete a wire transfer since it was too late to link accounts as we had previously filed paperwork to do so. We asked about the new process, they again said it would be very easy and we needed to complete a new form and the transfer would take a day. We filled out the paperwork and were then informed through a follow up call that it would actually take multiple days because they didnt understand the investments they had the money in and the requirements for that account needed two days not one. Then it would need an additional day to process the transfer. We had to call our title and broker companies and explain how the down payment would not be available as previously discussed. Meanwhile we pleaded with multiple reps at Baird. We have asked to speak to a manager. They explained they would not transfer us to a manager and there was nothing they could do and that our lender/title company would understand. We did not get our housing deal finalized as scheduled due to Bairds mistakes.

When this concern was brought to our attention, Baird immediately reviewed the situation. We sincerely regret any client having a bad experience with Baird as we pride ourselves on our service to our clients.
