I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Photos provided in owner response are accurate & they completed most of the work by beginning of Aug ’23. But 2023 was a very dry summer & we did not get a good rain until mid August, which caused the windows to leak & at which time I immediately contacted the owner (with pictures, including 1 of the grout that had also fallen off).  He called, said they would come & fix it but never did, despite several more calls from me plus more sent pictures every time it rained. Around this time I began to realize that there were going to be issues with this company, so I started trying to do all my communication via text, so it would be documented.
My last text to them was Oct 16. They finally showed up on December 16 (a Saturday), in the cold of winter, to re-caulk the leaky windows (without trying to find where the leaks were) & re-grout the porch tiles. After the first Spring rains of 2024 I contacted them (April 5) to let them know the windows still leaked & their re-grout job had fallen off again. After many more calls & texts - with pictures, (most with no response), owner finally said he needed to actually SEE the puddles b4 he would do any repairs. So every time it rained thereafter (& it rained a lot in summer of ’24) I immediately texted him with pics. He showed up just once to view the puddles on the floor. Finally, in late July, after threatening to report him to the BBB, he showed up, slopped some caulk on 1 window & applied white grout to my dark rust porch tiles. Said he would be back the next day, but I never saw him again. Please note that my written contract included a 3-year warranty.

    Regards,

*** *****e. Contacted him 2 more times that month & he finally responded that my problems were not their fault but were due to condensation. I said ‘no way’. Owner then said he would need to see the actual puddles on floor when it rained before he would fix them. So the next 2 times it rained, I sent him pictures as the puddles were forming & told him to c'mon over. The owner (who is NOT a craftsman) finally showed up on 7/29/24 & re-grouted our dark-rust colored porch (for the 3rd time) with white grout. He also caulked part of one window without bothering to look where it was leaking. His caulking was very wavy and ‘gobby’ looking, not smoothed down. Said he would be back the next day but never returned. On August 1 it stormed. Next day I sent him pictures of all the puddles. Told him everything needed to be fixed by August 9 or I would hire someone else to do it & file a complaint. No response. Almost all of our correspondence was via text. I have retained it all and is available upon request.

As I said before that I was there inside the sunroom when it was raining hard and I didn’t  see any dripping of rainwater coming out from all the windows . The pictures that she showed me are  already dry and she said it was a puddle to this point I believe it’s a moisture or condensation from hot and cold interaction between outside and inside the house temperatures and with this big windows it accumulated more moisture which drops inside the floor. Regarding the stronger off white grout that I put in the 2nd time to the tile’s edges, I told her that I’ll paint it with Sherwin Williams paint with same color as the existing grout but she doesn’t want me to comes back anymore at her house even though I’ll try to resolve what’s she complained about the leaking and grout, it’s been many times I went to her house with my wife, talked to her because she’s alone and then my wife give her a beautiful reel on facebook about the beauty of her backyard. And for all the works that I have done in her sunroom which her payment doesn’t compensate  for the labor and materials that I put in . I’ll really give her a good deal on her project, I send pictures of the works we have done if other contractors do this job I know it’s a big amount, but because I consider her being alone a widow that’s why I helped her on her project.
This is my final suggestion that when it rains we’ll be there together to see if it’s dripping rainwater because as I said I didn’t see any dripping.

    Thanks

***** has NEVER been in my sunroom or at my house when it was raining. He stopped over once during a light drizzle & commented that the windows were not leaking.  Huge puddles on the floor with pictures showing the water running over & down the inside window frames are obviously not due to condensation. ***** is not a contractor and has demonstrated that he does not have the foggiest notion how to fix a leaking window. I do not want him back at my house anymore. Period. I told him in advance that once I contacted BBB I would not want anyone from his company back on my premises. His team did good work but we have moved on to other contractors.
