    In 2011 my wife and I bought bought a security system from Able Securities, a local company at that time. They were since purchased by Brinks Security Systems. Earlier in 2023, we decided to switch systems, 12 years after my original purchase. Well, it turnout that 12 plus years of faithfully doing business with a company means nothing. I was told I could cancel at any time by one of their CSR people. The CSR person never once mentioned that I would be responsible for the remaining 8 months of 'monitoring' a system that was not in use. Yes, I did sign a contract and I resigned a contract 8 years earlier when the system was mandated to be upgraded, but I never expected to pay for a service I was not receiving. I am highly disappointed and suggest you read all the fine print before you sign anything from this company.
