      Business Response

      Date: 01/03/2023

Milwaukee Water Works (MWW) offer the following response to the concern filed by *********************, in which Ms.
Bright requests a refund for a payment in the amount of $250.10. **************** states that she is owed this money
due to MWW double charging the properties account for the same quarterly bill.
Per MWW account records for *********************************** sold the property with the assistance of ***********************
of ************ Services on 9/28/22. Prior to the sale, the account balance due was $634.10. Records show that
the three payments itemized below were made toward that balance:
8/30/22 $375.00 payment made online by the tenant of the property (not ****************)
10/3/22 $250.10 payment made online by the tenant of the property (not ****************)
10/4/22 $259.10 payment made by check by a real estate title and closing services company (not Land
      Closing Services)
The payment made on 10/4/22 caused a credit overpayment to the account in the amount of $250.10. This is
the amount that **************** believes should be refunded back to her.
As the credit balance can only be refunded to the party that made the payment, MWW advised **************** to
contact the closing services company and have them request a refund from MWW. **************** would then need
to recover the money from the closing services company.
The complainant was not billed twice for the properties quarterly bill charges, did not make any payments to
MWW for the quarterly bill charges in question, and therefore cannot be issued a refund.
Please contact myself or **************** Manager, *************************, with any additional questions.
      Sincerely,

      *************************, P.E.
