Changes were made to the driveway plan as originally agreed to without consulting me. When I questioned it they told me its fine don't worry about it..And would stop to correct it.

    Dear ***,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to reach out and apologize for the situation regarding the driveway installation we completed last fall. After reviewing the details of the project, I realize that there may have been some miscommunication about the edge of the driveway. When I was on site last fall, I was under the impression that we had agreed to add dirt along the edges of the driveway to finish it properly.
As our company operates on a seasonal schedule, we unfortunately ran out of time last year before we could complete this final touch. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and I want to assure you that we still plan on addressing this issue. As soon as our season resumes at the end of April, we will prioritize fixing the driveway and ensuring it meets your expectations.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to make this right. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or if there's anything else you would like to discuss in the meantime.
Thank you for your continued trust in our services. We look forward to completing the job to your satisfaction.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Please type your response here.]No,th is not this not acceptable...Putting dirt there will not fix the problem, it will just damage the neighbors fence.. I want what was told me by your men ***** ***** and ****...I did not change the plan, *** did. And never consulted me he intended to do that because he thought it looked better.. I sent you a certified letter over a month ago. You never responded. Even when they came back to fix the drain problem they did not do it right, it doesn't drain. I pointed it out to *** and he said its an optical illusion, not according to a level and the standing water. It was a lie. If I'm gulity of anything it was believing you people. I want this ripped out and done the way I agreed to..Yes we talked that day, and you never denied it was your mens fault..You just said I hate to do it over. Well I hate paying for a mistake of someone elses doing.
    Regards,

Thank you and I will. But I do not believe he will respond. I sent you those photos to show that drop off is almost three feet. Its dangerous. This winter my snow blower fell off the edge. we had to pull it out with a rope and truck. My friend also got too close to the edge and her front wheel went over.  A heck of a time getting her out...He just doesn't care...The letter I sent him told him this was not acceptable. He never responded until you got involved. He wants to talk on the phone to bypass BBB..I don't trust these people anymore..I've been lied to all the way through..I thank you ***** for all your efforts, something has to be done. Its dangerous..

Dear Better Business Bureau and *** ******,

We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to respond and address this concern.
Please know that we have made multiple good-faith efforts to connect with the customer and resolve the matter. On April 2nd, we placed two phone calls to the customer. Additionally, one of our supervisors personally visited the property and spoke directly with *** to better understand and address his concerns. Following that visit, ***** attempted to follow up again to schedule a time for resolution. Screenshots of ****** call logs are attached as documentation of these outreach efforts.
We are truly sorry to hear that *** feels his trust has been broken. That is never the experience we want for any of our customers. Its important to share that this past winterbeing our industrys off-seasonis a tough time to address concerns and complete warranty work. In addition, ***** took over ownership at our company just last April. This brought about unforeseen challenges that, while temporary, did impact some of our timelines and communications.
That said, we take full responsibility for the impact this may have had on *** and others. We want to assure all parties that weve taken this experience seriously, and have already implemented procedural improvements to help ensure stronger follow-through and communication moving forward.
Our intention has never been to neglect or disregard a customers concerns, and we remain fully committed to working with *** to make things right. We genuinely value his business and trust, and hope we can restore that through meaningful action.

We contracted with Purpose to act as a general contractor for converting a crawl space into a basement. The project took longer than expected as is the norm for our old farm house. As the project progressed the house shifted on the new foundation. Doors no longer functioned properly. Large cracks developed in our kitchen and our backyard became a muddy morass. During the project we were repeatedly assured that everything would be addressed at the conclusion of the project by several of the subcontractors and the general contractor. The promised backyard grading and seeding never occurred and we had to take care of that ourselves. After several unsuccessful attempts at correcting the nonfunctional doors, we hired a separate contractor to address the nonfunctional exterior door. The promised plaster repair was never completed even after repeated contact with the general contractor. It is now apparent that they have decided not to honor the verbal commitments made by all involved. We are very frustrated and disappointed with the follow up on the project completion issues. At this point we are only looking for a resolution to the cracked plaster. One crack is about 2 feet long and sticks out about an inch from the rest of the wall. Another crack has a bulge the size of a small football. Any assistance you can provide in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The building inspector just left.  Everything met with his approval and we are now satisfied that our concerns have been addressed.  Thank you for your patience and support while we worked through the project issues.  Have a fabulous day.
