This credit union and surrounding branches are the worst in the business. My boyfriend has been unable to access his own checking account for the last FOUR MONTHS. He deposited a check for $3300 and because banks are so focused on potential fraud they locked his account and took their sweet time reviewing the check to then tell him that a "bank manager" there was being fired over embezzlement which stalled my boyfriend being able to get answers as to WHY his check wasnt getting cleared. FOUR MONTHS later it still isnt cleared because after being LIED TO we find out that the bank is actually going under!! He has been in and out of the banks DAILY, told ridiculous excuses for why his appointments need to be rescheduled, "come back tomorrow", "oh just 1-2 more days and your account will be unlocked", a consultant firm took over and even called him to tell him his account will be unlocked and it NEVER happened!!!! We currently are waiting AGAIN to reschedule an appt so he can close his acct and get his money. He made the best decision to transfer his direct deposit at work to a new bank...and his worst decision EVER was deciding to open an acct at this place. Educators you are a JOKE!!!!! I truly dont know how you people sleep at night knowing you are s******* sooo many people and keeping them from their OWN MONEY!!! FOUR months unable to access your own account!?? I think you all need to experience that yourselves to have some sort of empathy! PSA...DO NOT BANK WITH THIS HORRIBLE UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS.

I have had two instances where I have dealt with Megan************************* and both times she exceeded my expectations. And done in a timely manner. She is always pleasant and has a great attitude. She makes banking with Educators easy and I dont feel like a number.

Do not use this bank. I borrowed 10,000 and was late on some payments. After 4 years of payments my balance was 8,999. Yep 1,000 is all that was applied to my loan..

On 2/21/2023, shortly after my Federal tax refund hit my account, almost all my funds of over $5k was transferred out of my account to a cash app name I have never authorized or made business with previously. My card was immediately canceled and I was told to step in to a branch to get my physical card replaced as I wasn’t able to locate it during the call ( the time of this discovery) I was literally left with $6 and some change. I was out in touch with who I was told to be the Dispute Dept. Who on 2/21/23 and today 2/22/23 were at first refusing to assist me with filing a dispute. Instead I have numerous reps insult me. The reps were intentionally misleading me and falsifying information and at the same time not disclosing detailed info that could possibly help me identify how it by whom my were transferred to. I made it very clear that I Do Not Have any open Cash App account s in my name. Therefore, ny card info was obviously compromised and was added to someone else’s account fraudulently. Instead of initiating a dispute and properly investigating this matter, the reps were all interrogating and insulting me. And putting me on holds as if they were trynna catch me in a lie or trynna to locate find contradicting info on my account. At least 3 reps were talking to me and treating me like a suspect or criminal when I have never filed any disputes on my account, and my account has been in good standing since I opened my account back in 12/2022. Today after going back n forth for some time and trying to get help from my bank that supposed to back me in such event, I was finally told to visit a branch. Matthew barely communicated with me, I left the branch with no paper work copies, of reference number or even a clear understanding or timeframe for this process. This entity is seems to be very discriminatory in their actions from how they deal with members when applying for their products to their protocol. 5 hours later my paperwork still wasn’t submitted / filed.

Educators Credit Union victimizes the victim after someone steals money from your account under the guise of providing a service that they never deliver on. I called ECU to report 2 small charges from an online prescription service that never delivered the product, did not respond to messages and phone number was unreachable. I explained the situation to the ECU rep who decided to put me on hold to call and verify if I was lying or not regarding the unreachable phone number. She comes back to the phone to let me know that yes it's true that the number isn't working (although I had just told her that) and that it's obvious that I may have been scammed by this company, I still need to wait 15 days for them to deliver the item for 1 of the charges. The other charge she said the company would get to keep because it was a subscription fee and I "agreed to their terms and conditions". She went on to say that ECU would need to cancel my debit card so that the fraudulent prescription company could not charge me anymore and if I don't agree to cancel the card, that the fraud rx company can charge me again and ECU will not file a dispute on my behalf. I replied that it is absolutely ridiculous to say that the fraud rx company gets to keep the subscription fee although they did not fulfill their part of their "terms and conditions". Furthermore, I told her that ECU has not and apparently will not file a dispute on my behalf for the subscription fee so additional disputes are moot anyway. After some more discussion, ECU rep puts me on hold to "talk to my supervisor to see if there is anything else we can do". She comes back to the phone and basically reiterates that I need to wait 15 days for the 1st charge and now give the fraud rx company 3 days to respond to my emails and then ECU MAY file a dispute for the measly $15 subscription charge. ECU is accusatory and victimizes the victim even further. I will be closing this account and cutting ties with them ASAP.
