    Dear Sir/*****:

Please find attached letter, pictures, and documentation of an ongoing problem we are having with a company called LevelHeaded Carpentry from *********,*********.  LevelHeaded Carpentry refuses to address any of our concerns, only wants money for subpar work already done and continues to threaten us with placing a lien on our house.  We have been living without our master bathroom and bedroom since this project started on November 26th,creating stress for our family.  We paused the project right before payment of the next installment of $3000 per the agreement so we could get opinions from other professionals for the work the contractor completed up to this point. Having consulted with several other third-party contractors which specialize in custom bath/shower remodels they have confirmed our concerns as it relates to the subpar workmanship all around, improper installation of tile/shower liner, shower accent tile, and non-compliant with todays standard tiling techniques.

We would like your assistance in helping us resolve our issues with this contractor.  We have already paid him $8,500 and he wants to settle with us for $2,500. To build any kind of trust we suggested starting with a few small items on our list and we would pay a certain amount of money as each item when fixed. After several communications during this process with the contractor we were under the impression that he would not address all our concerns and leave us hanging once any amount was paid to him. Negotiation has been one sided throughout this dispute and we have not been able to reach a path forward to resolution.

If there is any additional information you need from us, we will gladly provide you with it.  Any help you can provide us would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    **** & **********

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

We reject this business response since we place the percentage of completion at around 87% completed.  Items not mentioned by the contractor include all electrical (install recess lighting above shower, exhaust fan, vanity light fixture), shower door installation, clean up entire bathroom. This does not include the items he would have to fix which would bring this completion percentage down much lower. The full amount due which you have a copy of was $6781.00, not $7500.00.  We stopped the project to assess the contractor workmanship, installation techniques and material used by him.  (We have additional items identified for contractor to fix and will provide in future communications.)

    Regards,
