First off I want to say that my oil change and tire rotation at Ewald took 1 hour and 45 minutes. Should have taken 45 minutes, perhaps an hour at most. I sat at Ewald for two hours (10A until noon). Their tech is either extremely slow or he was checking around my Dodge Charger for potential issues (real or imaginary) with my car so Ewald can try to take advantage. I loathe having my time wasted while someone is trying to rip me off. As for the two items Ewald recommended I have replaced (see below)… 1)I obtained a **** air filter at ******** **** ***** down the street for HALF cost from Ewald. I installed it myself in five minutes. 2)My current battery was replaced on my car in Feb 2024. So it is 9 months old. Ewald tech tested this battery in the front (under the hood) and got a CCA of 371/730. Of course he did!!! The battery is in the trunk. If he would have looked there, he would have seen when it was installed. He is a Dodge tech…he has to know the battery is in the trunk! Based on this false information, I wasted more of my time and took my Charger to another garage. They tested both the front (where the battery isn’t) and recorded a CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) of 369. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Then we went to the trunk and attached the test devise on the actual posts of the battery. It recorded a CCA of 796/790. The battery I had installed back in February cost $200 installed. Why would anyone with a brain cell pay $377 for the one at Ewald. I hate being scammed and I hate having my time wasted. Ewald keeps sending me texts and perhaps fraudulent email alerts for me to act (because they're concerned for my safety…huh!) before it's too late. They wanted to replace a battery that didn't need to be replaced and they knew it!!!!

BBB needs to edit their edits. Two grammatical issues with the above review.1)Words with apostrophes get replaced with nonsense (’). 2)Three dots that represent a pause in writing have been replaced by more nonsenses (…). Hopefully someone that edits text at the BBB can provide some assistance and fix appropriately. Thank you.

I bought a brand new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit 4xe on December 21st, 2022. Within a day of bringing the new Jeep home, I get a "rear air suspension needs immediate attention." I called the Sales Manager immediately to explain the issue. He told me it was because of the cold weather. NOPE, by the 3rd day the suspension is completely destroyed and I had to take it in. Despite the Sales Manager and Service Department telling me it should not happen, it happened. On 12/26 I brought the Jeep in and was told I would get a quick response to the issue. It took numerous phone calls into the Service Department to get an answer on what was wrong. By day 5 they finally had time to look at the issue and it would take another 7-10 days to get the new part. Amazing, Ewald representatives told me it is impossible to have these issues so early after buying a new Jeep, but it happened. On 1/13/23 the Jeep was ready to be picked up. I asked for either a full refund or a discount on my day old purchase. What did I get? The Sales Person (Austin), Sales Manager (Kyle) and Customer Service Manager all going silent. No responses to phone calls or emails and it took Eric ***** (Owner) to email me after the Jeep was done that I was going to get nothing from Ewald on the issue. I needed to "Sue Jeep" if I wanted a refund. No help, no assistance and at this point they had my car for 15 days and I had it for only 5 days. Before all of this hassle, the Sales Manager begged me to give a good Google Review because they take it "seriously" and a good review gets Austin some more money in his pocket. What did he do, lie to me on the arrival of the car, not follow up once and get upset I paid cash. I am a repeat customer and have used their Service Dept many times. Looking back, the minute I paid cash for this car and did not sign up for their Service Plan, their tone with me changed. I will never do anything with this dealership every again.
