We received an EXTREMELY inflated invoice from this company for a small amount of work. The time billed is more than double of what was actually worked/put into the job, materials are WAY over billed and they refuse to provide receipts of what they purchased for our job, and a trip charge. *** never had a contractor (construction) bill this; plumbing and electrical, yes. Ive notified the business we dispute their billing and was told isnt negotiable! Their office/billing person is extremely rude and likes to try and bully people into paying inflated fraudulent invoices.

    Hello!

Please see attached documents.   The total price was minimal considering what we were able to do in the time frame that we did it in.  Labor isn't cheap, and neither are materials.  There is nothing inflated about this bill. We have yet to be paid for this job and we don't negotiate pricing.  I am not a bully by any means, just trying to collect payment for work that was completed.  The customer signed an agreement for time and materials. This customer called because they needed their cabinets leveled before they could get their countertops installed.  We did this is a favor so the family could have their Christmas.  You will see in the screenshot how fast we made it happen.   I explained to them that we have a daily minimum of $2500, but we would still do the work.   All in all, between shopping for materials, driving to and from the job, and doing the job, it was approx. 4.32 hours.  We charged our hourly rate, required trip charge and material fee with a 25% markup.  There is nothing inflated about our price.  The total bill came out to $579.00. Fortunately, we were able to do it for this customer because it was right before the holiday, and I did have someone that was willing to do the work.  It is unfortunate that the work was not appreciated and how much time has been spent trying to collect this amount that barely covers our cost.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

As per normal practice, they are not trying to resolve this matter! They (she) are just digging their heels in and standing on their no itemization. Which proves our point, that they are being fraudulent and unethical! Why wouldnt they provide receipts and documentation otherwise. If theyre on the up and up and running and legitimate fair business? A trip charge from a construction contractor.$104 for materials (no receipts or proof) and the inflated time, just under 2 hours was put into this job! Not double what were being charged!!! We signed saying we would pay time and materials - prove you purchased $104 worth of materials youre billing us for! And the time, we already covered that, less than 2 hours were put into the job and we are billed for 4!!! Fraud at its finest!!

We are extremely ethical and the farthest from fraudulent. If you knew us, you would know that.  You did not think that until you received the invoice. You are slandering us because you don't want to pay a bill.   We would never take advantage of anything. The reason I am not providing an itemized receipt, is 1. My accountant has them. 2. there are thousands, and I don't have the staff or the means to dig through them for an invoice of this size.  It was never a part of our agreement, or I would have made sure to save everything I did and stamped a time clock.   Again, 2 hours on the job site.  We also charge for the time to drive to the store, get the materials, get back to your home. We round up to the nearest hour. I have explained this to you a few times now.  I apologize if you did not value our time or expertise.
