    If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible products and terrible customer service. Do not use this company! MDI made 14 prehung interior doors for us, supposedly one of their "top of the line" products. We ordered them through ******** in ********. That was the start of an ordeal of problems. First off, the doors took forever to get to us; they were two weeks late. Upon arrival, before we even unpacked them, we inspected them and they were lighter in color than what we requested and blotchy all over - the staining job was terrible. The doors were maple and we understand there is grain, but the veneer they use is so thin that it's almost impossible to get the staining to look uniform and good. Really terrible. Three of the doors had defects: bubbles, improper fit, bad veneer meshing. In short, a sub-par product! Then we find out we basically had no recourse. Issues with staining were not a valid reason for return. OK, I guess we should have read the fine print, and ******** could have warned us we could not return them if we didn't like them, but this was a very large and expensive door project and EVERY DOOR looked bad. Despite ******** trying their best to get the company to remake them for us, they dragged their feet and were incommunicative, and ultimately, months later, only replaced the two bubbled doors (with staining as bad as before). You would think the company would stand behind their product. MDI is a terrible company, with cheap products, terrible quality control, and lousy customer service, and you should never use them! We ordered the doors in January and a project that was supposed to take 8 weeks wasn't over until September...a true ordeal with zero compensation or recognition from MDI. Not even an apology. There are many other reviews on ******** that echo mine...BBB needs to assess this company. It does NOT deserve an A+ rating, that is for sure.
