  Ripped my wife and I of $650. And Im disabled/handicapped. He came into my house and seen I was handicapped and still ripped us off of $650.

  DO Not use this company. ****** is extremely unprofessional and a *****. He installed an insert for my Mom and it was a headache from the start. Not only did she have to beg him for the fireplace remote, he didnt even wire the blower correctly. He missed spots that should have been caulked and also left his saw on the porch for weeks.****** hired a propane company to hook the fireplace to and ****** never paid them. So now, my Mom is on the hook to pay the propane company or they said they would have to remove their equipment!!! The police have been notified and I certainly hope this ***** gets put shame

  The guy is a rip off. He has another company come do the work he cant do, charges his customer, and never pays the company what he owes for the work done. Very poor business BEWARE!!!!

  Save your money and don't even consider this guy. Untruthful right from the beginning, said he would be done in a week, 8 months later still not completed. Called an inspector to check things out, my suspicions were correct, he didn't follow state code or the insert manufacturers installation instructions. What has been done must to be removed and reworked and is going to cost me a lot of extra cash, which I'm sure will not be compensated for by this guy. I could write more but I don't believe there's enough room on this site for a full review.

  I had written a review earlier about this guy, I did get reimbursed 2K for work that needed to be done by another contractor hired through Darboy *****, so that is a plus. Unfortunately, I've had to hire another ***** to completely redo the entire project, so that will add substantially more to this project.

  We had a gas insert installed in a woodburning fireplace that no longer functioned. Robert was knowledgeable and guided us through the many makes and models. He was not only knowledgeable but also very professional. When serious doubts existed in being able to route gas and power to the new insert, he quickly made an easy routing and made it happen. It worked the first time and every time since. My wife and I are extremely happy with his work and his professionalism.

  I found Hildebrandt s Fireplace s to be very proficient and easy to work with. It seemed like a challenging project to me,. however he handled it with ease. He completed the job in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Hildebrandts Fireplaces and Chimney Service.

  I called Hildebrandt's Fireplaces to have a gas fireplace installed as well as stone work to be completed. Have nothing to stay but positive words. He even took my dog out for walks while I was at work. Always cleaned up after himself before he left for he day. It was like I never knew I had someone in my home working on a project. He was a pleasure to work with and highly recommend him.

  I had him install a fireplace in 2016. He put in a dented model and covered it with metal and paint. Was not what I wanted but had to take as big hole in side of house. Worked for 5 years okay. Then last year pilot light went out. He eventually replaced. This year can not keep fireplace lit. Been waiting for him to come back and says he will be here and does not show. Always an excuse. He was told he needed some meter to check voltage has never come back. Have paid him in good faith and now I have no fireplace and excuses for everything! Am contemplating suing him. A friend had him and recommended because his girlfriend at the time was a school teacher friend. Is there a time limit on suing? I feel he is waiting it out. I have contacted another business to fix and was told they have been cleaning up his messes for years. Hopefully they can fix it.
