On 08/14/23 I purchased a set of tires for $475 with my debit card from BadgerLand tire in ******* . When I went to pick my car back up I noticed a plug in one of the tires that nobody told me about, as I proceeded to drive down the street I could hear loud howling coming from the tires. I went back and the next day they exchanged the set for a different set. As I drove off that second set had metal clinking in the tire as well as a plug in one of the tires that I was also not aware of. I turned back around and demanded my original tires back on my car and a refund since theres a 30 day warranty on the receipt. They then told me they no longer had my original tires so they put the howling set back on my vehicle. They told me they would fully refund my account. I do have a receipt proving they refunded my card. They allowed me to drive away with howling tires and a refund that was processing back to my account. Now 13 days later I contact Badgerland tire to see the process of the refund and they told me they wouldnt refund my money since I left with the howling tires on my vehicle. They told me they disposed of my original tires so how else was I suppose to drive away? In that moment I was out $498.75 I was left driving away with howling tires, that same day I ended up paying $600 at a different shop for brand new tires. So that day in total I was negative ********. It was not my job to bring back their chopped tires to their shop, which was never asked of me in the moment that I was told I was being refunded. But now 13 days later they demand I return the tires in order to receive a refund. This is a nightmare and they scammed meBusiness Response

this is ***** from Badgerland tire just touching base on the complaint from one of our customers regarding a refund from some tires she had bought from us. We had gone above and beyond to try to help her out and wasnt happy with either set which not a big deal so she ended up going somewhere else also not a big deal! So as why we are here is we issued a refund as she was suppose to bring tires back and she knew that also which is common sense you need to return the product for a full refund and she never returned the tires so we canceled the refund. So now she said she doesnt have the tires and demanding a full refund and slandering us all over social media! We told her you bring us the tires we will give you a full refund!Customer Answer

I was never once told to bring the tires back, after you guys told me you disposed of my original tires you immediately refunded me my money without telling me to return the tires. You disposed of my tires, didnt have tires to give back to me. Refunded my money but then canceled it after I didnt come back with the tires? That doesnt make sense, no business would refund someone for a product without their product in hand. Which you had no choice but to let me drive off with bad tires cause you didnt have mine to give me back. This was less than 16 hours and somehow my original tires were completely gone? You say you canceled the refund after I didnt show back up with your tires? You cannot cancel a refund once its been processed back so thats a big lie on your part. You had no choice but to let me leave with the bad tires because you didnt have original ones to give me, I was there at the store with your tires and never once was told To bring them back. I even offered to have the cops come help the situation and you guys got scared and immediately refunded my money and let me drive away without an issue. If this was an issue leaving with your tires you shouldve called the police and filed a report. I will continue to let my town know about the business you conduct. If you refund my money Ill be gladly to let everyone know you were helpful and caring to your customers. Thats all I want is my money back for 2 sets of horrific tires.

Hi there again *****, not exactly sure if we even met eachother I had spoken and dealt with ***** and **** for the entire situation. In less than 16 hours my original tires were completely disposed of, therefore your shop had no original tires to give back to me. I went through extreme hassle to drive to Oshkosh to pick up and purchase the tires, kind enough to pay $475 instead of $450 as the tires were listed for.. but was ripped off and told $475 instead. I drove back to ******** and not only the first set of tires were plugged (without my acknowledgment) but they howled extremely bad. Then you guys exchanged those tires with a different set that was also plugged without my acknowledgement that set also had issues with a loud metal clinking sound. After all that hassle I just wanted my money back and original tires back. You guys had already gotten rid of my original tires so I had no choice but to drive to a different shop to purchase different tires, to then drive the old howling tires back to your shop? Never was I told that your tires needed to be returned in order for my refund to process through. After all the hassle I was put through I shouldve just gotten a refund immediately regardless since your business didnt have my original tires to give back to me. It was not my responsibility to drive to a different shop to then have your tires removed and brought back to your shop for my refund. Your tires was completely unsafe and were still being sold on your shelf. A business should conduct better business with their customers.. your shop put me through a rough time and I was out a lot of money at the end of the day because I had to go to a different shop to purchase new tires that were actually safe My refund is deserved.

I agree, never said they have to be 100 percent perfect but both sets of tires had issues you guys did not have my original tires to give back to me in that moment, that is your business fault for disposing of my tires and selling me 2 sets of bad used tires I shouldve been granted my refund regardless immediately since you didnt have my product to give back to me, and it was not my job to pay a different shop to remove your tires and then purchase new tires from somewhere else, to then bring back your used tires just for my money back? That sounds ridiculous. If you had my original tires to give back to me we wouldnt be having this issue. Is it seriously hurting your business that bad to refund a customer to make things right after you guys were originally in the wrong? Wow

First off, the first set of tires you picked out we told you they would be a bit noisy as they were a more aggressive tire. Also plugs in the tires does not make them bad. A plug will last longer than your tire will. secondly you didnt even ask us about new tires which is what we also sell, so we could have handled this as well from the get go. We asked you if you wanted us to dispose of your old tires, and you said yes, that is why we did not have them anymore. Also, where can you go buy a product and not return it and get a refund?? That is our policy no return on the product means no refund. we did everything you asked us to do and changed put your tires twice to try and make you happy and you chose to go elsewhere when we could have got it figured out and made you happy. Bottom line is we cant refund what we dont have, you bought the tires and had yours disposed of which means they arnt around anymore they have been disposed of, but when you left to get new ones then that means to get a refund the ones you bought with us needed to be returned to get a refund, just as if you went to ******* and wasnt happy with a product and wanted money back.Initial Complaint

I had purchased tires from badgerland tire a few months back, from what I can guess is that while they were putting the tires back on they put one locking lug nut on the front *********** and must have broken my lug nut key and then put other lug nuts on the rest of the tires and then put the key back into my glove box and never informed us of the key being broken! Fast forward to last Friday, I took my car to another business to have my oil changed and my front brakes done as they were getting bad, well, that business then called and said they would have to charge me $450 to do the brakes because my lug nut key was broken and they could not get my tire off so they would have to drill the lug nut off! I contacted badgerland tire about this a few times as they should be the ones to get the lug nut removed since they broke the key and today I was told its not their problem and they wouldnt do anything to help because they would never do anything like that! The man threatened my husband when he had called them because they hung up on me! So now, my front brake pads have fallen off my car because they had gotten so bad and it dangered our lives because we were in fact driving the car when it happened!
