      Had a tree taken down on 3/11/25 . In the process of removal 4 sidewalk squares were broken . Owner came on 3/12 and said he didnt think much could be done about it . On 3/13 an employee from the city of ******* sidewalk division came to take a look and told me the broken squares need to be replaced .On 3/13 I had a phone conversation with **** *****, owner of the tree service to relay what I had been told by the city . On 4/10 because I had not heard anything from **** for a month I called to touch base with him as to what was being done about my sidewalk . **** was unavailable so I left a voice message . He returned a call on 4/11 with the message being left on my voicemail that he was looking for someone to do it . It has been over a month since this incident happened and Im getting nowhere with getting it resolved . I am trying to avoid having to take legal action against him to get this done but it seems to be leading that way . I have been told by the city of ******* that I will need to get this done . I will have to pay for it and then take this to court for reimbursement . I believe the company has insurance and they should take care of this . It was the companies employees who broke the sidewalk squares not me .

      I explained to the complainant that any damage that is caused on a job I always take care of. I contacted seven contractors and only two responded. I was waiting for at least two more estimates prior to getting back to her and scheduling the work. We had a phone conversation today and I assured her it would be taken care of.

      I have had very poor response from this company . I was told by **** on 3/12 that he didnt think he could get anyone to come out because he didnt think the breaks in the sidewalk were that bad . Only after I contacted the city was he willing to do something about it . I waited one month with no response from him . I dont believe I would have had any response without me contacting him . I did have a phone conversation with him yesterday and he is angry with me for contacting BBB . I feel that if I close this case at this point the problem will not be resolved .
