I came across Integrative Dental Solutions via Google reviews. I called to make an appt and said I was a new patient looking to make an appt for an exam and cleaning. They said new patients initial appt is about 1.5-2 hours long, but they couldn't get me in until mid-May. However disheartening, I still made an appt since the Google reviews seemed so positive. I was then told I needed to pay a $149 new patient fee required for the initial visit. I said I have insurance but was told that doesn't matter, it's a fee everyone must pay. They then asked for my payment info which I reluctantly provided and the appt was booked. Later that same day, I called the 2nd dentist I was considering and was able to get in the very next week. I filled out new patient forms, had my old dental records sent over, and booked my appt. When I called Integrative Dental Solutions back to cancel my appt made earlier that same day, no one was available so I left a message asking to cancel. I never heard back so I called again next morning only to discover they were closed for ‘staff training’ (no wonder they book apps months out, but I digress). They called the following morning to confirm my cancellation and questioned why. When I mentioned I went elsewhere they suddenly had an opening the next morning. I told them my paperwork and dental records were already sent to the other dentist’s office. They said they understood, but told me the $149 new patient fee I paid them was non-refundable. What? Come again?!? I said that was not disclosed to me when I made the appt and even noted I had called the same day I made the appt to cancel it. She said that didn't matter, apologized, but said the fee was still non-refundable. What a TOTAL SCAM! Be wary of businesses that run their practice like this. No one should be forced to pay a $149 new patient visit fee when they call to cancel their appt the same day it was made. This place is definitely not getting my business now or ever!
