    Two years ago I qualified for a program (Renewal Unlimited) that helps recovering drug addicts get on their feet again and they assist with rent. I was assigned a case manager (*******************************). I got an apartment and everything was going wonderful until the last 6 months. My case manager is completely *** she doesnt answer phone calls and doesnt respond to emails or text messages. My counselor, landlord and myself have been very unsuccessful trying to contact her. The company is NOT helpful either. I am looking at a eviction due to NO fault of my own and cannot reach anyone. This is a HUGE HUGE trigger for me in my recovery. If I became homeless the chances of relapse increase greatly. I'm terrified for my well being and it's NOT helping my mental state either.

    The consumer applied for Renewal Unlimiteds rental assistance program and was approved to start receiving rental assistance for the month of July, 2022. The rental assistance contract through Renewal ended on June 30, 2023, but the program allows us to provide an additional 12 months of assistance if all eligibility criteria is met at the end of the first 12 month period, and, if funds are available.Since these criteria were met, an additional 12 months of payment were approved. To date, 23 payments have been made to the landlord and the final payment for the month of June, 2024, which will represent a total of 24 months of assistance is being paid during the week of July 28th. This completes the 24 month program of assistance and the contract for assistance ended on June 30, 2024. Clients are asked to contact the Case Manager at Renewal Unlimited 60 days in advance of their end date if they would like to be considered for an extension beyond the 24 month period. However, there is no guarantee an extension will be *****ed. These extensions are only available if the client and the rental unit still meet all eligibility criteria, if there is an extenuating situation to be considered, and, if there are still funds available. The consumer did contact the Case Manager on May 9th, 2024, 53 days prior to the end of her contract. However, as of May, 2024, all of the funds available for this program had already been committed to other clients.Therefore, there are no additional funds to ***** this extension. Therefore, an extension has not been approved for this consumer. Since the Case Manager and the consumer have been in correspondence with each other, the Case Manager will contact the consumer directly and inform her of this information.
