Dear *****, We feel compelled to address the recent situation involving your vehicle purchase, as your actions have escalated a personal matter into a business concern. In February 2021, we were approached by our mutual acquaintance, *****, seeking assistance for your vehicle needs. Given our long-standing relationship, we willingly extended our support by providing you with transportation, at our expense, until a suitable solution could be found. Despite exhaustive attempts, your financing struggles proved insurmountable even with ventures into high-interest rate lending. In collaboration with ***** and yourself, we disclosed the availability of a 2007 ***** CRV, a vehicle recently traded in by a local customer. Although it carried a total loss history due to a minor accident, we meticulously researched and conveyed that it was not deemed salvage, emphasizing its usability and reparability. A total loss is when repairs exceed a certain threshold which is determined by an insurance company. Considering the limited options within your budget constraints, you acquired the vehicle at a price well below its market value, demonstrating our commitment to assisting you. With a simple search engine, you can clearly find that in March and May of 2021 this was the highest rate of inflation over the ***** inflation period.Over the subsequent 33 months of ownership and almost ****** miles traveled, we diligently maintained the vehicle, including covering the cost of replacing the rear hatch latch in October 2023, at no additional cost to you. The average monthly cost of ownership, including the purchase price, tax, and fees, amounted to a reasonable $193 per month.Your decision to trade in the vehicle with a competing dealership after 33 months, without prior communication, has left us perplexed. Furthermore, the dealership's apparent insinuations that you were scammed are based on a misunderstanding of the situation. Our attempts to engage in a meaningful conversation, initiated by your strongly worded text on December 10, 2023, were met with silence. Despite our subsequent follow-**** you chose not to respond, culminating in an untruthful review on December 25, 2023, and blocking us from any further communication. It is disheartening to find ourselves in this situation, feeling disrespected and personally attacked. We had genuinely sought to help a long-time family friend in need, going above and beyond to ensure the reliability of the vehicle provided. We offered an opportunity for a discussion, which you ignored. As of January 3, 2023, the vehicle is scheduled to go through a local auto auction, and we will provide an update on its sale. We hope this clarifies our stance on the matter and encourages a reconsideration of the current situation. Sincerely, *****************************
