I had a building built for my art gallery. When it came time to add wood paneling to ceiling and lower walls with peg board above it, I realized the framing was off. No headers on end walls. Nothing to nail to in corners. Crooked 2 by 4’s above window. We could not add anything to nail too as it was sprayed foamed. When I called, I was told they are not built standard like a house. Most just use for shed and don’t finish inside. I said the main website out of Tennessee advertise the old hickory bldings as tiny homes or offices. They even show finished interiors. The salesman, Vern ****** from ******, Wisc who I went thru said you need to be creative. When about to start framing around the front door, we noticed it was out of plum on the upper left top side. It was not sealing properly. I called Vern twice as he installed the door which we bought at ********. He said no problem putting this better quality door they offer. He never called me back. I drove to the place who built the building. I was told Vern called them and they’d be out the next day to look at door. Also to add the deck rail I paid for that was not on when delivered. I got the deck rail but the store manage, Brent who came out said he sees the door is not plum but said if he tried to fix it, he could make it worse. I felt Vern who put the door in should of come out to fix it. Vern is ignoring my phone calls. I left another message I want him to come out and fix the door he agreed to put in that I paid for him to do, $50. Poor communication & poor framing. If you want just a shed, the outside of blding is very nice. If your looking to finish the inside, I don’t recommend Old hickory buildings out of ******, Wi. We’ll see if I have to take this further. Still waiting for Vern to call me back!
