Purchased a Speed Queen dryer on 7/17/2020. Starting in 2022, we have had service techs out at least 5 times to try to figure out why it wasn't working properly. They replaced the timer several times, checked and I believe replaced the heating element, and we replaced the entire vent and nothing seemed to help. The last time they were out, they replaced the timer again - but now it's a "Retro-fitted" timer since they no longer make the one my dryer needs. Since it isn't the correct timer for my machine, it doesn't line up with the lines that tell you how long it's set for...and it still takes over 1-1/2 hours to dry a load of laundry. I contacted Speed Queen directly on April 19th, 2024 and two months later they finally got back to me with their resolution to the issue. They want to refund only $300 of the $969 that we paid and then void any additional warranty that's on my dryer. I understand that we are 4 years into my purchase - but this had been an on-going issue from the day it was delivered and I believe that even though I didn't report the issue right away, I have definitely done my due diligence with service calls since then.Business Response

The email I just received from them does not address the issue that the dryer does not dry clothing properly! The timer is an additional issue that came up that is just very annoying. The timer will come on at 60 minutes so there is no reason to waste my time making a video. The issue is that it won't come on at Max *** on any of the settings and at "60" it doesn't run for 60 minutes.I will start the dryer at the first setting where it will actually turn it on - wherever that lands - and it will run for about an hour. I then have to go back and restart it for close to another hour to finish drying that clothes that are barely half dry.
The fact that I have to have my clothes in the dryer for OVER 1-1/2 hours (sometimes over 2 hours) is the problem that needs solved. *********** where I purchased the dryer suggested that I speak with Speed Queen directly in order to get a replacement, since they can not find or fix what is causing this issue. When I initiated this request, I was told by the customer service rep at **********************, that a replacement dryer would most likely be the best solution, but it had to be escalated to a manager to confirm. The manager responded with what started this complaint. $300 and a voided warranty is a far cry from a replacement for a dryer that was almost $1000.
I don't need to have a replacement - I just want them to accept the fact that their product is faulty beyond repair, and compensate me for it fairly. For 4 years I've been dealing with this, wasting time and paying for more electric use because of it. I've had service techs out over and over, wasting more of my time and theirs. A refund of $750 would be acceptable to me.

The reason I'm going this route is because I am getting no where with my complaint. No one is listening to me or taking my complaint seriously. My initial and main complaint is that the dryer does not dry clothes and my secondary complaint is on the timer. Any communication I've recently had regarding my case is focused on solely the timer. No one is addressing the fact that I have a dryer that does not work properly. Sunday night I put a load of laundry in the dryer at 9:20pm, and 10:40 pm I checked it and it was just going into the cool down mode. I opened the door to check the clothes and they were ALL STILL WET! Not just slightly damp that would go away during "cool down" - they were WET after and HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES!! This is my case complaint - focus on this not the timer!!!

We purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer on 11-14-22 from ************************. ************************************************************** Phone ************. The washer is fine. Were having problems with the dryer. The dryer is DR-7 with a 7 year warranty, S.N. **********. Approx. 4 mo. ago the dryer has a digital timer that counts down until the cloths stop. The timer is hanging on 5 minutes. it stays on 5 minutes for 30 to 45 minutes. i have taken pictures to document the timer staying on 5 minutes for long times. The dryer becomes very hot, were concern it might catch on fire. The dealer has been very concern about this problem and has sent there service technician several times to address this problem. 1. He found a loose wire that had shorted out and the end was burned. 2. He checked the Temperature sensor 3. He replaced the Control board.4. I don't remember. 5.He checked the air flow with a monitor. the air flow was in the correct specification. The dealer has all of the schedule times and service activity on this dryer. Speed Queen keeps saying that my dryer vent is causing the problem. If this were true why did the dryer work correct for approx. 18 months. the vent has not been changed. I clean the vent before step three. I have called Speed Queen and ****** Auto has called with no results. they will not return the dealers call or give them any direction in resolving this issue. The certified technician from the Dealer ship has already came out and used the Manometer. He called and gave Speed queen the results and it was within the vent specifications. I do not understand why they want to do this again.

Speed Queen has not came up with a solution to fix this dryer. After two month wait they won't to preform the same test that was completed on 4/18 with the dealer technician preforming a test on the vent with a manometer. The dealer technician has stated to Speed Queen it is not the vent. The vent is in the required specification. This is a delay by Speed Queen. I will keep filing not to accept there response until ******, Speed Queen Consumer Support come up with a solution to repair the dryer instead of trying to tell me it's my vent.

Speed Queen sent the Western Auto technician out again to check the air flow on the vent with a manometer. it was the same as before. the vent was within the required specifications. The technician called Speed Queen from in front of the dryer as Speed Queen had requested. Speed Queen required the same test hoping for a different result. Speed Queen also required the technician to see if there was any dust on the heating terminals. There was no dust. This was a waist of my time and the Western Auto technician time. Western Auto technician is trying to get permission to change the heating element sensor. i will keep you updated on the lack of support by Speed Queen in this matter.

My dryer has needed repair for 56 days and the customer service at ******************** keeps telling me they can't get the part. They then offered me a partial refund and I declined that offer. I told them I want my dryer fixed or a replacement. The representative then told me that a replacement was not an option and if I didn't accept their partial refund then I would just have to wait on the part and they had no idea when the part would be in. I told them I filed a complaint with my state's attorney *************** I explained to them that I would not be able to replace my dryer with $512 dollars and this was not acceptable to me. Later the same day I received an email from them with a docusign attachment for releasing my machine and for them to send me a check for the partial refund. I replied back to their email stating that I had not agreed to their offer nor did I agree to sign anything. Some of the representatives have been rude and some have seemed concerned about helping me. Although it always falls on management or a supervisor, which you aren't allowed to talk to for some reason. Basically they are giving me the run around and they have no intention of upholding their warranty. As of now I have spent a little over $200 drying my clothes at a laundromat. The sole reason I bought a Speed Queen was for their exceptional warranty. I know now that I'm probably going to have to file in small claims court to make this company do the right thing.Business Response

Purchased a speed queen washer in January 2024. The washer broke in February 2024. Contacted speed queen and they sent out General appliance called at the direction of speed queen. 3 parts were broken. Speed queen holds the warranty and service when the washing machine broke. Been out of a washer since late February 2024 til June 2024. Contacted speed queen and they refuse to exchange and misleading about the part or mitigating the issue. There was a part that was on back order and they finally sent it after I had to contact because they failed to follow up with me. They reported all the parts would be available. After I received the 1 part, 2 other parts were not available when I called the repair place. They kept on delaying and just dont care about you after they take your money and dont uphold to the high standard of their product or service. I have a family that can't wash our clothes for school or work. And this tells me the lack of customer service or understanding. ********************** reported to be they would provide me with a good gesture for the situation. And they finally respond with a $50 check for over 3 months of their failure to mitigate the broken machine.Business Response

General appliance came out today 6/7/2024 and they were not able to make the repairs. Speed queen/Alliance sent the inverter part to me and also General Appliance, which is the exact same part. Speed queen reported they sent the motor to me which is incorrect. The 1) inverter is 1 of 3 parts for the repairs. The 2) motor is needed for the repair and was not sent to me or General appliance as reported by Speed queen/Alliance. The 3) belt is available through General appliance. I have called and text on multiple occasions to speed queen/alliance to get information or address the broken washer that we bought brand new in January 2024. The emails and responds sent to me by speed queen/alliance that they have sent the correct parts is not true. Its discouraging and irresponsible to tell me information that is not true. I have been given the run around and lack of customer service. This is unacceptable. The washer has been broken since February **************************** replaced as of June 2024.

Bought a Speed Queen brand gas dryer model DR7004WG and a top load washer model TR7003WN from ******** Appliances in ************ ********** on April 21st. Since the installation of both, the dryer does not heat and the washer does not spin clothes enough to get the water out of them. Speed Queen claims it will contact me in 3-5 days but does not. I have waited for 3 hours at a time on-hold then to be told they are escalating to a local repair shop. They will not provide me the name of which repair shop and a repair shop never contacts me. We purchased a speed Queen dryer from a local retailer. Within 2 months we have had technicians out several times for the electronic board, machine is now loud, shuts off during cycle and melting cloths leaving black marks from inside the dryer. Purchased a Speed Queen front load washing machine October 13, 2023. It was delivered and ready to use by October 25. **************** was of little help, stating they would escalate the complaint but we did not hear back until my husband posted on social media. I purchased a new Speed Queen washing machine and dryer on 9/1/23. Since then the power outlet vent in the back of the dryer continues to melt pieces of our clothes on to it. After that happens it snags clothes from the vent. It has ruined over $5000 worth of clothes. Speed Queen warranty initially blamed it on airflow to the dryer. Since then I have had the vent cleaned out twice (another $500) and had 4 technician visits. I have replaced the vent at least 6 times. Now Speed Queen instead of replacing my dryer is telling me I cannot dry synthetic clothes in the dryer which as everyone knows is almost all clothes, use smaller loads and in all honesty telling me I do not know how to do laundry. This should not be the case and is not advertised as not being able to with these dryers. I have read in various places that I am not the only one who this is happening to and no one seems to have come to a resolution with Speed Queen warranty. I would really like some assistance in working with Speed Queen to come to a resolution.Business Response

I purchased a SpeedQueen DR7003WE Dryer. The dryer was delivered December 23rd 2021. The dryer has since quit heating FOUR times. The first 3 times a repair man came out in a timely manner and replaced the parts needed and while it was an inconvenience it was not a huge deal. We also switched the dryer hose to the strongest metal one and have the duct/vents cleaned regularly. My dryer quit working (heating) again for the FOURTH time on April 20th, 2024. It is now May 17th, 2024 and i still do not have the issue resolved. I have 4 children and work full time so this is way more than an inconvenience. A service repair man came out and took the dryer apart and determined what needed to be replaced. One of the parts is currently on backorder until sometime in June. I have called SpeedQueen daily sometimes twice daily with no help. It has been 28 days that I have been without a dryer. SpeedQueen sent one email the first time i called and that is the only thing they have done. I cant even get them to answer the phone at this point. For the amount of money spent on this dryer and the so called warranty they offer I would definitely expect so much more than this. I will never buy another speedQueen product and i will be sure to tell others. This is absolutely unacceptable. When all this began i wanted them to replace the dryer since it was the 4th time which they basically refused because their warranty is only for service, but at this point i just want my money back to buy a different brand. They must know there is an issue with this or else the part needed wouldnt be on back order, also i cant deal with this every 6 months until my warranty expires and then I will be stuck paying for repairs on a machine that never worked properly to begin with.Business Response

This has to be the WORST service possible. After waiting weeks speedQueen finally escalated this ticket and sent an email requesting my bill of sale. I hear nothing so I call again today after waiting forever and then them calling me back and even though I sent the bill of sale ONE MINUTE after requested whoever never sent it over??? So NOW they are doing that.
** Buyer BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM SPEEDQUEEN** Their washing machines dont even clean your clothes and the dryer breaks every 3 months and the WARRANTY is almost as HORRIBLE AS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! It has been 33 days without a dryer and I have called almost daily with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING DONE TO FIX THIS! No one has reached out to me EVER!
