I hired Boyds tree service to cut, remove and grind out 2 large pines, topsoil and seed the areas. I specifically asked him, does that ***** grinding quote include all the cleanup, chip removal, and leveling ground to the surrounding area? Just want to make sure because I'm in a wheelchair and cannot do that stuff myself. And, So to make it look like the trees were never there, it'll be $1,900? How soon can you do it? They left a very large root sticking up out of the soil on one of them and a big part of the actual ***** on the other one was not ground down below the surrounding ground surface and they just covered it up. There were wood chips all over my yard and driveway. There were 1-1/2 inch rock around the trees. When they left, there were rocks all over my yard, way away from where they were working! They were suppose to seed it as well and did not do that either.I text him multiple times to try to find out when he could come back and finish their incomplete job. He ignored my messages a couple times, which is not unusual because I had to text him multiple times to get him to answer me on several other occasions. The owner left about 2 hours before his workers were done and unfortunately I paid him the remaining balance before the work was completely finished. And I could not get him to come back and finish grinding the ***** out. He also had to return to my fathers house to regrind stumps! I had to hire someone else to come finish their incomplete ***** grinding job. And I had to hire a kid to come help my father rake up all the rock and wood chips, so my lawn mower didnt get damaged or shoot a rock at my neighbors car or house! Hes been telling me for weeks, he will drop off money to account for the work I paid for, that they did not complete. And the additional money out of my pocket for the ***** grinding , cleanup, topsoil and seed. I offered to settle with him for $190 which did not include the topsoil and seed, $57.81.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This message was sent to him prior to starting the job, it clearly says all the cleanup. Does that ***** grinding quote include all the cleanup, chip removal, and leveling ground to the surrounding area? Just want to make sure because l'm in a wheelchair and cannot do that stuff myself. You can see in the photo before he started, there are no rocks in my yard, they are all around the bases of the two trees. When they were done, you can see all the large rocks scattered all around the yard! And that does not make it look like the trees were never there. If I did not have them cleaned up, they could have damaged my lawnmower, the neighbors car, house or hit someone and caused bodily injury! If cleaning up the rocks was not part of the price he gave me, then he shouldve told me he would have to charge more for that because I told him I cannot do the cleanup myself because I am in a wheelchair. He came and looked at the trees prior to me sending that message to him, so it wasnt like I just put the rocks there after he looked at and gave me an estimate.

    Regards,
