      Worst seat to put on. One of the washers did not work. It took me over an hour to put this on. Then what's with the wrench deal? I had to use cutters to cut the part they said would break off. One of the screws probably got stripped. I used my old toilet washer. Guaranteed for a year? So what, I am supposed to go without a toilet seat to return this? Only to probably get another crappy seat. The odds are stacked against you. Don't buy this horrible item!! The first and LAST Bemis I will ever buy!

      I purchased two Bemis Jamestown Slow-Close toilet seats 15 months ago and one of them has failed/snapped already, so I am not that impressed with the build quality or materials. Bemis offer a 12 month warranty which is of little use if the product is going to disintegrate so quickly.I called the Bemis Manufacturing Company to discuss the issue and to determine whether this was a known fault because I had seen other reviews that complained of the same problem. I was informed by the receptionist that the entire customer service team were in a meeting and that I should call back in 45 minutes or so. I found this perplexing and suggested that someone should attend my call, she refused to assist, claimed she was in a different building and then hung up the phone on me. She didn't even offer to take my number and have someone reach out to me.Companies need to realize that first impressions count and that a receptionist or any other employee is a brand ambassador and should act accordingly. If you are going to schedule a meeting of your entire customer service staff during working hours you should provide adequate support for your customers by other means.Poor quality products and customer service leaves much to be desired.
