    On May 31st 2022 I placed a reservation at Apple River Hideaway for an adult weekend away with friends to go TUBING. For the weekend it cost $240.75 which is a hefty cost for myself. On Wednesday, June 8 2022. Apple River posted on their website and ********* We've been getting a lot of questions about what's going on with tubing this year at Apple River Hideaway. Somerset Camp where we had been leasing to pick up our tubers for the past 12 years got purchased and even though we offered the spot for free for three years for the new business owner, we were told on January 18th that we no longer were able to put in at River's Edge and no longer able to take out at ******** Camp, effectively shutting us down. So we are officially out of the tubing business but we are going to salvage whatever kind of season we can. We have come up with some options that we believe will work and hopefully even add to the Apple River experience. We understand that in recent years the local kayakers and tubers have been fenced out and cut off from being able to use the river that they've enjoyed for years. We can no longer run tubing as a business or provide transportation but we can provide an entry point for locals and others to put in at the Hideaway property and still exit at the public park." To see full post visit tubetheriver.com After many attempts to contact this business through ******** comments, ******** messaging, phone calls, emails, text messages and voicemail this company has chosen to ignore their customers and not answer any questions or concerns about refunds. They do not answer their phone nor do they answer any form of messages. This is unacceptable. They have had since January to inform customers that they are not able to provide tubing through their business, yet continued to advertise as such. This is false advertisement! I want to cancel my reservation and I want a refund as the service I booked is not available and they knew it wasn't when I booked it.

    They already received a full refund before this letter was sent, even though we never advertised for tubing this year.
