I ordered and paid for a sewing machine on 10/14/23 to total $10779.99 plus tax. The owner told me that the machine would be delivered in November/December 2023. I still do not have the machine. I have contacted this business numerous times since December 2023 with excuse after excuse as to why the machine has not been delivered yet, that was if they responded to me at all which was also an issue. Excuses were: machine is on backorder with manufacturer, owner was in the hospital and nobody at the business had access to accounts to credit me or contact the sewing machine dealer. Today, when I call the business phone number there is a message stating they are closed due to unforseen circumstances. No other number is given for reference or assistance.

On 6/2/2023 the owner of Mill House Quilts and I entered into an agreement that he would sell two used ************** Machines of mine on consignment: The Bernina 765 Special Edition in Rose **** for $1,800.00 and the Bernina 550 Quilters Edition for $600.00. He indicated it might take awhile for a sale to occur. On 12/27/23 I decided to go up to *********** and ask for my 765 machine back and not sell it. I could not get staff to answer the phone until we were already in *********** which is a 2 hours drive away, where they then told me ***** had already sold the 765. I did not go to the store that day but asked that ***** call me personally, which he did 5 hours later. When I asked when the machine sold he informed me it sold in November around Thanksgiving. I was angry I had not been contacted or paid. I then asked for my other machine back, the 550 QE, and he seemed confused and thought I had given him a 535 model. He said he'd have to call me back. At 8 p.m. I missed his call where he left a lengthy message that he had in fact sold my second machine as well. In the days following I tried to reach him at the store during business hours and staff let it go to voice mail, whereupon I left a message for him to call me about payment for the two machines. Eventually I received a call and actual spoke to ***** (the owner) again where I reiterated more than several times that I wanted to be paid. He reluctantly said he'd pay by the end of the week. This is $1,800 and $600, or $2,400 due for the two machines. Weeks later and no checks and I cannot get staff at the store to answer my call. I have since tried to reach ***** on his private phone. Either his voicemail picks up and is full, or the call is accepted but no one speaks on the line. I am still waiting for payment of the $2,400 and have filed action at Small Claims Court in Dane County, *******.

on 1/20/23 I contacted Mill House Quilts to see what they had for used sewing machine, so they referred me to the owner ************** talked with him a few times throughout the night and was telling me about a trade in that he got in a few week ago. it was a ***** creative Icon sewing/ embroidery machine. he said it was like brand new and the lady traded it in because she wanted a Bernina sewing machine that had this special software. ***** stated that he went through everything and everything checked out, so it sounded like what I was looking for. So the next day we went to look at the next morning. When we arrived I asked for ***** and they stated that he does not come in until around 1:30 or 2 pm and 1 of the sales ladies asked if she could help and I explaned to her I was there to look at the ***** Creative icon sewing machine and that I talked to ***** the night before she then went in the backroom to grab the machine and set it up on the desk by the front door then she stated that she did not know how to run this kind of machine but tried she was right she did not know anything about it and I would have to wait for the owner to come in. So, we left and came back the same day once the owner was there. ***** started talking about how the lady traded it in for a new Bernana sewing machine and how he went through the machine, and everything worked just fine, and it was hardly used then he sat down at the sewing machine to do a demonstration on the machine but did not know how to run this kind of machine so we sat there and watched him fumble through the screen just to turn it on and then he did not know how to change anything on the screen then he stated that they have a built in guide that will show you how to us it. well talking on the phone he quoted me a price of ******* dollars over the phone but when I said you are asking ************************** no **** then I stated you said **** over the phone and he said it was around that price but preceded that he wanted **** we said we needed to think about it and went out to the car. My boyfriend went in and was able to buy it for **** with a 1 year warranty with parts and labor. when we took it home it was not working correctly so I called him that Monday and told him the problems I was having he stated to drop it off so we did then almost 2 weeks went by i called them 2 times left a message for ***** and he never returned my calls so I had my boyfriend call for me and they stated that ***** was busy and would call him back well about 10 minutes later ***** called him back and when asked about the machine he stated that we needed to pick it up and take it to a repair shop that works on that kind of machines. I finely got machine back on 3/11/23 the price of the repair was ****** so we took the receipt over to ***** and he looked it over and stated that he would only pay ***** because there was nothing wrong with the machine when it left. ***** was very rude sense the 1 call and that we feel we have been getting the run around sense day 1.
