    In July 2024, I purchased a monthly membership for the gun range service at Fletcher Arms in ********, ***I was charged $50.94 in July and $94.50 in August. At the counter, I was told this was a monthly membership, indicating that the terms were monthly.On October 1st, 2024, I attempted to contact their billing representative and was ignored. I emailed their billing department to submit my cancellation. They refused to acknowledge my cancellation and said I couldn't terminate without paying a hidden cancellation fee ($200) that I was never told about. I revoked consent for them to keep charging my credit card, and they fraudulently continued to charge me in October, November, and December. I had to cancel my card to stop their intentionally fraudulent ****************, I'm receiving a debt collector notice for an additional $319 for charges that shouldn't exist.I visited and used the gun range 1 time in July 2024, and now Fletcher Arms is attempting to extort me for a total cost of $674.44

    Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint submitted by Mr. Brandon Shaver. We take concerns from both current and former members very seriously and appreciate the role the Better Business Bureau plays in facilitating open communication.
    Mr. Shaver entered into a membership agreement with Fletcher Arms, which he signed and agreed to in full, including the terms surrounding membership cancellation. Unfortunately, after a period of active participation, Mr. Shaver ceased making payments without completing the required cancellation form or paying the early termination fee clearly outlined in his contract.
    Throughout the process, we made multiple attempts to communicate and resolve the matter amicably. We’ve provided a copy of the signed contract and a number of email exchanges demonstrating our efforts to work with him. Despite this, Mr. Shaver became increasingly uncooperative and, at times, threatening. Ultimately, he stopped responding altogether, leaving us unable to bring the matter to a resolution.
    We care deeply about all our members and strive to handle every situation with fairness and professionalism. We regret that this issue escalated to a BBB complaint, but stand by our documented process, our terms of service, and the communications we've already provided.
    We are happy to submit additional email correspondence if needed, and we remain open to a resolution should Mr. Shaver be willing to reengage in good faith.
