Our furnace stopped working on Thursday, December 5th, 2024. We called the number posted on the side of the furnace which was Will Heating and Cooling. A technician came out and determined that we had a plugged heat exchanger and that it appeared to be still under warranty. He was going to return to the shop and make some calls about the warranty. We never received a call back so we called them on Friday and was told it was under warranty but could take 3 weeks to receive a new heat exchanger. After considering a 3 week wait for a part and that it was December in north central ********* and that we needed heat asap, we decided to order a new furnace from a different company. We then receive an invoice dated February 12, 2025 for a labor call for December 5th. We thought the bill was too much considering they never called us back or kept us updated on what our options were. We then called Will Heating on February 18, 2025 to discuss the bill and was told that they were going to give us a new furnace at no cost because they couldn't get the part needed under warranty. AT NO TIME, HAD THEY TOLD US THIS UNTIL FEBRUARY 18, 2025, so we ordered a new furnace costing us $4,400 on December 6, 2024 at 4:30 PM. We waited all of Thursday and Friday, to hear what Will Heating was going to do, to get our furnace running again. This company does not communicate what is going on and what they were going to do to help us. We felt abandoned and took it into our own hands to get heat back into our house. I do not recommend Will Heating and Cooling. Had we known that we had the option for a free furnace from them, we would never have ordered a new one from a different company.
