Date of Incident (mm/dd/yyyy)* 04/13/2024 Approximate Time Incident Occurred: 1pm Description of What Happened*I went to the vapor bar section of rib mountain liquor and Tobacco to purchase CBD gummies. The lady at the counter helped me pick out the gummies and then I went and purchased them in the liquor section of the store. I did not obtain a receipt as I knew that the products I purchased could not be returned. When I went home, I noticed that the gummies expired on March 8, 2024, which is over a month from the date I purchased them April 13, 2024. I called the store immediately and talked to the lady that helped me at the vapor bar and let her know that the gummies I just purchased were expired and if I could return to the store and exchange them for unexpired ones. The lady told me that as long as they were not opened, they still should be good. I informed her I did not want expired products and I would like to exchange them. She told me that she had no power at the store and could not exchange the product and that I would need to wait until Monday in order to talk to the manager. I told her that these are expired and you should not be selling expired goods and all I want to do is exchange them. Again she told me she could not help me. I asked that she take my name and number down so that the manager could call me on Monday . I have yet to receive a call from the manager. I called again and spoke to another sales associate who would not help me as she does not have the power to exchange a product. I reiterated the fact that this is not a typical exchange as an expired product should never have been sold to me in the first place, and it is illegal to sell expired products for consumption; still unwilling to help. However, I am concerned that the store is selling expired products to customers and advising them to go ahead and take them as they should be good even though they are expired and refuse to the exchange or refund the expired goods.
