    Tried to cancel a reservation due to an unexpected death of our 37 year old niece. Owner would not refund deposit of the first day campsite fee because you need to cancel within 14 days of reservation. Impossible with an unexpected death. Not very compassionate people. I would never stay here.

    When booking her site on 7/16/2022 ***************************** signed our policy agreement, which included our 14 day cancelation fee policy. When speaking with her on the phone we offered to move her reservation to a different day to avoid losing her deposit, but she refused the offer. We explained that as a small business we must hold all customers to the same cancelation policy and can not bend the rules for some customers but not others. ********* attempted to threaten us with bad reviews and disputing her credit card. We still did not give ********* the answer she was looking for and she hung up on us.

    I had made the reservation for a specific music event. I had no reason to return to ***************. It is impossible to plan ahead for for a life event of death. Still feeling the lack of compassion. I have traveled throughout ******* and have never experienced such lack of compassion. especially relating to a death of such a young person.
