On May 18, 2024, I, went to Foam City in Charlestown, WV to purchase a pair of *** ****** 1 Off White “********” in size 10 for an early Father’s Day gift for my husband. I gave ***** $3000 in cash, he gave us no receipt, and charged me no tax. On, June 12, 2024, after showing the shoes to reputable resale store who questioned the authenticity of the shoe my husband ran a check on the shoes through an app called ***** *****. With in less than five minutes the shoe failed for heal stitching and inside label. We went straight to Foam City and got the owner ***** who informed us we had to wait to talk with his son ***** on Wednesday. We did another run on ***** ***** while in the store which also failed. ***** continued to tell us that they had ran checks on the shoes but have not been able to provide them to us. We then took the shoes to two other resale stores who also questioned the authenticity. ***** in text message told us he could consign the shoes at no cost to us in their Ocean City MD location. That was not something we wanted to do, so we went back to speak to *****. Before we could even say anything ***** started screaming at us and threatening us with ****** and would not even allow me to say one word. My husband had me leave the store where he then told my husband “women do not belong in men’s business. They came to an agreement to consign the shoes until the sneaker convention in DC the 2nd week of July and then if they did not sell there to have them checked by **** for authenticity and if they failed we would get our money back and if they passed we would keep the shoes. On June 14 my husband drove to the Winchester VA location to meet with ***** who told him ***** would have to first evaluate the condition before he would sign the agreement. My husband then went to the Charlestown location to meet with ***** who agreed the shoes were in the same condition. After discussion and phone calls to his father they would only agree to sign for the consignment
