I purchased a cutting board from this company while traveling through Charleston WV on vacation. We bought a large, heavy board for just under $200. The sales associate/craftsman threw in a jar of their board butter because we were spending so much. He told me the board would last for years and to throw out all my others. He was looking at the board and handling it. He said the only maintenance was to wash it with Dawn and occasionally apply some board butter. He didn't say this board looks dry, so apply some board butter before you start using it, and he didn't provide any written care instructions. I got it home and used it three times with gentle use and very little water exposure, but the board split after three weeks. When I reached out to the company hoping for some good customer service and help with this issue, all they did was blame me for improper use and care that caused the split, and if I wanted to ship it back to them they would see if it could be fixed. When you tell someone your product will last for years and replace all others, and it last 3 weeks, and the only thing the company does and place blame on the customer and not offer any real solution to the problem, they are not standing behind their product or thinking of the customer, just looking for a quick sale. I have pictures but do not see a way to add them. $200 piece of kindling is essentially what I'm left with.

It is unfortunate that this cutting board cracked and also unfortunate that Ms. ******* declined our offer to repair it. Wood is a material that requires maintenance and care. Apparently Ms. ******* did not use the provided care product.
