HORRIBLE! Never do business with this company. We had originally applied for a roof through a home rescue program that was recommended by this company. They contracted out a second company to replace our roof. We noticed the roof had shingles that were not laying flat. They assured us they would go down with warmer weather. Roof was replaced in February/ march of this past year. We had a very hot summer and shingles did not lay down. We brought up the concern to them and they said it was fine. We had other contractors come out to look at the roof to find out it was not done correctly. You could push the nails through the roof with a finger from inside the attic. We voiced concern to the company and were were told that they saw nothing wrong. We contacted the company who actually put the roof on. They were told not to replace the wood on our roof, which it needed replaced. On a list as to what was replaced was asked for the owners did not want to comply and said “ we aren’t required to give that to you “. When we did get the list “ wood as needed” was listed as something that was replaced. This is a horrible company. Do not ever use. The company who replaced the roof was willing to help us out and was able to replace it for us. A comment was made by the company that “ we just wanted a free roof “ after we already paid them for the roof. Also the first price we were told was 4500 then it jumped to 8900.

There are so many things about this “review” that are untrue. And the rest of it is misconstrued. It is extremely sad and disheartening to see someone behave in such a manner simply because they did not get their way or get what they wanted (for free).
First of all, the paperwork that Mrs. ********-****** **SIGNED** for her roof was for a program allowance of $10,000.00 and she was only charged $8,950.00 – neither of which she paid. Neither of which was paid to my company either, from any source. When she was not approved for the program, she applied for our financing and WAS approved – BUT, Mr. & Mrs. ********-****** were untruthful and told us they were not approved. Then, long after their roof was already completed, they offered us $200.00 per month. Fast forward again, a while later, Mr. ****** offered a lawnmower in exchange for payment on their long completed roof. To date, I have not received a single dime for their roof; only a lawn mower that is worth far less than their roof that I paid out of pocket for. (I have all of this signed paperwork and correspondence on file.)
Ms. ********-******'s husband did in fact contact us regarding a few shingles that had not laid completely flat. This is one of the few truthful statements she made. And yes, the first thing we did tell them was the heat from the sun would lay the shingles down (because that's how it works). These are architectural (dimensional) shingles, which are already different heights (think 3D). The sun DOES in fact heat the tar in the asphalt shingle and helps them lay down, especially when installed in cooler weather when the shingles are more rigid - the sun then warms them up and softens them to aid in laying down. However, Ms. ********-****** also has what is called a slat board/plank roof. This means the base layer of the roof itself is not completely flat like plywood/OSB and CAN cause a randomly uneven visual appearance at the shingle surface layer. The customer did NOT want to replace the wood sheathing in its entirety on their roof when they were presented with that suggestion (was not a necessity), citing financial reasons. We did, however, replace any rotted wood that was present once the roofing material was removed (less than 2 sheets of wood). This labor and material was NOT included in their original estimate and remains yet another item they did not pay for.
Moving along, it was not until another individual we routinely worked with called to give us a heads up that we understood why some of the shingles kept raising up. We were informed that he was in the attic of the home with Mrs. ********-******’s husband and he witnessed Mr. ****** hitting nails up through the underside of the roof with a hammer, which would of course push the nails up into the shingles on the other side, creating the appearance of a lifted shingle. We confronted Mr. ****** (in writing) with this knowledge twice and he refused to acknowledge or respond each time, so we believe that is why Mrs. ********-****** said this in her review: “You could push the nails through the roof with a finger from inside the attic.” - You ABSOLUTELY CANNOT push roofing nails up through layers of material with your finger (against a very pointed end). This is another clear example of how, at every turn with his customer, we have experienced nothing but dishonesty and attempts to scam/bully us throughout this entire ordeal.
Further, Mrs. ********-****** alleges that she had other contractors come out and look at the roof who then claimed it was done incorrectly. As of this writing, Mrs. ********-****** and her husband have not provided us with any names and/or estimates to back their claims, nor can they tell us what was allegedly done wrong with the roof.
Mrs. ********-****** alleges that we had contracted another company to complete her roof. This is not true, either. We have multiple roofing crews and they were simply a crew we used and had used many times before. I cannot speak as to why that individual fell for your tactics, but we know better and are not afraid of you or to fight for what’s right and true. The bottom line is, you did NOT need a full wood replacement on your roof, you originally DECLINED a full wood replacement on your roof, you did NOT pay for a full wood replacement on your roof – so you did NOT get a full wood replacement on your roof. If you wanted the wood replaced, then you should have had that done (and paid for it).
You are mad because you chose not to replace your slat board roof with new sheathing and thus, your new architectural shingles looked a little more 3D than others, and then when you tried to bully us into redoing your roof so you could get free sheathing, it did not work so you turned to the roofing crew who was just starting out on their own. It is as simple as that. Mrs. ********-****** and Mr. ******, you both should be ashamed of yourselves.
