We bought a brand new camper from them that had some problems such as the refrigerator not working and the toilet leaking. We also had storm damage from on the awning. They told us to bring it in and they’d have it fixed within 24-48 hours. It’s been a month and they’ve haven’t even started on it. They’ve collected their money from the insurance company and have been incredibly rude but still haven’t even started the repairs.

    Setzer’s World of
    Camping, Inc.
    To Whom It May Concern

    ***** and ******* ****** purchased a unit from Setzer’s World
of Camping on May 11, 2024. Customer went camping the following weekend and
found some issues with their unit.

The ******s dropped their unit off on 3-13 and we had a small
delay getting it in to the shop due to employees out sick. The service writer
told the ******s we would try to have it in the shop in 24-48 hours to be
diagnosed. We wouldn’t have promised to have it completed within 48 hours, in
case parts would need to be ordered.
Customers complaints were refrigerator not cooling, toilet
leaking out the back, hot water not running through any faucet, quote
replacement glass for stove top as it busted, and needed awning and hardware replaced
as it was left out during a storm. The glass and awning were to be covered by
their insurance company. Service completed the estimate, sent ***** an email on
May 25 asking for confirmation to start the repairs. ***** answered back on May
27 to start the repairs. Parts were then ordered and we are awaiting the parts
to complete the job. All other issues have been fixed. The refrigerator just
needed the cool setting adjusted up. Toilet had a loose valve that was
tightened, and we couldn’t duplicate the hot water issue. Stove top glass was
ordered and will be installed when we do the awning.

Both service personnel have been in contact with ***** and
    ******* throughout the whole process.
We only just received the insurance check yesterday, June 11,
    2024.

The insurance paid them on June 4 per my insurance. The company has also been very rude. They say they wouldn’t promise 24-48 hours but they did. Then we were promised a couple days and we still don’t have it.

As per my first letter, there was a miscommunication of the
24 - 48 hour time period regarding diagnosis vs repair.

We received the insurance check but have not cashed. And won’t
cash until the work is completed. Setzer’s has already paid for all the parts
included in the repair of their unit. As soon as we receive the awning parts we
    will complete all the jobs.

    Sincerely,

I called about a used camper a Sales man sent me pictures we wanted to look at it the sales man told me.be there at 9am I arrived at 9am then was told it would be 2 hours before he bank they deal with opened. the camper was in rough shape so we told him that we wasn't interested he got mad and ran my credit without my or my wife's permission he keeps running it over and over and over at least 8 times so far trying to mess up my credit to be spiteful.

Nick, our salesman made an appointment with Mr ****** to show him some campers he was interested in. When Mr ****** got to the dealership, the salesman took him out to the camper, came back inside and wrote up a deal on the 2015 Salem 312. Mr ****** told Nick he really needed a camper as a place to stay. He instructed Nick to do what he could to get him approved. So we gathered his information and sent to the banks that were open based off his qualifications. Based on the information provided, the banks stated his DTI (debt to income) and revolving debt (credit cards) were too high. Our finance manager said he would qualify for ******* Bank but they didn't open until I lam, customer said ok and waited around the dealership for their response. ******* Bank conditioned the loan with needing proof of income. Mr ****** then provided most recent paystubs but was unable to supply the proper stipulations from the bank (adoption income letter from agency). He was able to provide statements showing the deposits, but this was insufficient for *******. Customer became offended when asked to provide the additional documentation and left the dealership. We have not ran his credit nor done anything with his deal after he left as is our practice for cancelled deals.

Attached you will find the list of the five places where they ran my wife's credit and mine.  If we find more than we will send them later.  A deal was not wrote up, nor did we say do whatever it takes to get us approved.  They told us they only deal with one bank, and they were in a different time zone, so we went to get something to eat, and they called and said they needed six months of our bank statements, and I told them no, just forget it, we will figure something else out, that they were not getting our bank statements.  For the next week we received a letter from some bank telling us that Sitzer's Camping had them to run our credit for a loan and we didn't.

As stated before customer came in looking for a camper and asked us to obtain financing. We took Mr and Mrs ****** out to the 2015 ********** and came back inside to write up a deal. The deal sheet is in the folder agreeing on a price for the **********. The finance manager ran his credit with the information provided to us and sent to the appropriate banks. Both **** and ******* were informed up front we have multiple banks that we work with. Customer was able to provide us paystubs and a copy of their bank statement. ******* bank said that was insufficient and needed an adoption letter from the agency. That’s when they left.

They will receive letters from the bank after the fact. Banks are required to mail letters to customers when they decline an application. But they don’t always go out the next day. So that is why he may still be receiving letters from the bank.

Apparently today 1/3/2024 while doing further research as to where and when we sent the applications it auto pulled their bureau. (His inquiry dates are inconsistent with ours) I immediately called the credit company (700 credit) spoke with a **** and was assured they would reverse the pull. Though through a lengthy process. We sincerely apologize that this happened.

I took my camper to Setzers in April of 2023 to replace a damaged awning. They stated that it would take a month to get the estimate for my insurance, order the parts and do the repair. They have delayed constantly stating that wrong parts had arrived twice. First they stated that the arms they received were too short & had to be reordered. Then the new arms came with the awning that was too short. I’ve missed several opportunities to go camping. It is now August and the repair hasn’t taken place. They state that they are still waiting on the replacement awning. I’ve called so many times and have received promise after promise with no results. I’ve requested to speak with the owner on several occasions but have not heard back from them. Then have yet to call me back when they state that they will.
