On January 20, 2023 I went to Simms Xxon To have my ball joint replaced on my vehicle. A few days later on January 24, 2023 I had noticed some sound coming from the bottom of my vehicle. I brought my vehicle back to them on January 25, 2023 Around 9 AM to examine the sound. They told me the part was defective and asked if I wanted to come back once I got the part at no point did they tell me it would be unsafe to drive on. Three hours later the ball joints snapped and broke my axle while I was driving in. My tire Pulled away from my vehicle, and turn sideways again while I was driving. I had it towed back to them to fix it. The auto store where I got the part is handling the replacement parts when the mechanic shop called to let me know my vehicle was ready yesterday they told me I could not come get my vehicle until I pay the labor for them, replacing the part they are ultimately responsible for breaking, since they did not advised me not to drive on it. It could’ve caused a serious accident. Thankfully it did not. I told them that I was not responsible for paying for their mistake and I contacted a lawyer. After letting them know, I was doing that they called me a few hours later telling me I can come get my vehicle and then I did not owe them anything but never come back they have yet to apologize or take accountability for their actions. They are now refusing to provide a work order for a receipt for the work that they did on my vehicle, neither for myself, the insurance for the parts store, which is all needed by every party. They refuse to provide documentation for what they have done on my vehicle. The only thing they are willing to provide is the labor not a work order. I need a work order and a bill total for everything surrounding the repair even if nothing was paid I also would appreciate an apology for almost endangering me and my children, which at the time of the accident thankfully they were not in the vehicle.
