I made a appointment at EMS tire for the date of October 15th 2024 for a new set of springs, rear sway bar, that I bought and alignment to be put on my 2020 ford exsplorer. I dropped my Exsplorer off at EMS at 8am for a early start to get my car back before I had to go back to work the following day. I went about my day until 4pm, I called them to perhaps get a update and I was told they was almost finished and would be done by closing (5pm). They never called me back and I had to go to work today. So I had to have my girlfriend stop there after she got off work to see if they were done because they never called me back and my job is demanding of time. They told her that the reason they didn't call me back was they had issues getting my front springs off and had to heat the strut mounts to remove them. I then contacted them by phone on my lunch break and I was told about the issues they had with my front springs. They informed me that my strut mounts were ruined and had to be replaced because they were "popping". I asked if they would replace it and I was told that I would have to order the parts and they would put them on at my expense because "they wasn't made to come off" which I'm no mechanic but I know that people change struts/springs. So it was at this point I was forced to just pay the money and limp my car home at 30mph because the popping and vibration was so bad. I would just like a reimbursement because I now have to buy new strut mounts that is a dealer item I have to order and pay another shop to put those on.

I had to get my car towed for $300 to the facility for a transmission replacement 2 and a half months ago for a car that I owe $14,000, on that’s not even worth $9000. The only reason I got it towed there was because it was the only place that would work with **** *******, an app that helps you finance so you can make payments) because i’m a 24 year old woman who don’t have friends or family help within an hour and a half away. The deal with **** now is I have to pay $3400+ for the transmission in 100 days or the price DOUBLES. Which, at the time, was fine, because they said they’d have my car done in time for me to be able to pick up shifts at work to be able to pay it off by the time needed. The lady at EMS Tire and Auto gave me a cell phone number to text so that I didn’t have to keep calling. On March 29th, they said they could try to have the car back to me that week. I didn’t receive a single update text or call through that period. On April 11th, they said it should be done tomorrow that they would text me. I never got a text. The transmission they got ended up being bad, so they had to get another one sent. I understood, things like that happen. On May3rd, I texted again and she said she was just then calling them, because the part never showed up? On May 7th, she finally responded to my texts saying they had to send it to a ****** dealership to get it programmed. After pleading and asking them to please keep me updated, I texted and called today, May 15th, and she said that over the past five days the tow truck was broke down and didn’t make it to the ****** dealership in time for the appointment. No one called or texted and told me anything? Anytime I’ve needed an update, I’ve had to call on my own. Regardless, I have to have the transmission paid off by the middle of June and I haven’t got to pick up any shifts or even work what Ive been scheduled to. I don’t have great guides around me, so I don’t know what to do about it or what I can do about it.
