Good afternoon,My named is *********************** and my phone e number is **********. I purchased a 2013 ***** ****** from RPM Pre-Owned Auto Sales on 11/4/2023. Two days after purchase the check engine light came on and it was smelling of oil. I contacted the company and they had me drive the vehicle back to them. They checked the car and said that a seal needed replacing and had me drive the vehicle back home. Within a week the light came back on and the smell returned. I took the vehicle back to the shop. At this time they scheduled me to have another reading of the car. When thus was completed they said they would need to replace the catalytic converter. They told me it would be a couple weeks to replace the parts and the vehicle would be fine to drive. I returned home and then brought the vehicle back for service. At pick up they assured me the vehicle would be fine. Again within a week the check engine light returned. I again returned to the shop. They told me that because they used a non OEM part the check engine light would be something that I would just have to be okay with because they were unwilling to pay the difference for an OEM part. Yesterday my vehicle failed and would not start at work. I was able to finally get it to turn over and took my vehicle to **** **** where the employee read the codes and told me my vehicle was unsafe to drive. There were multiple codes that indicated a rod may go to through the engine if I continued. I immediately contacted RPM and the lady said she was unaware of the previous issues but they would not have service available until March. I immediately drove the vehicle to RPM and returned the keys telling them I would not be able to drive it without service. They told me they would contact this morning but have not made any contact with me. I feel as though I have been sold a lemon and am being held hostage by the seller. Please contact me at your earliest convenience and let me know wha can be done.
