      Modern renovations do not stand behind their gutter work and do not install the correct size gutters on a house. Very disappointed. I had to get a professional company today to install proper sized gutters for my house. ****** inspected them and said they were ok but gutters that they installed caused water to come in my basement. Actually one star was rating them too highly.

      Hello, Mrs. **** *****. As you know, we installed 65 linear feet of 5-inch gutter on two sides of your house last year to match the rest of the 5inch gutter on the entire house, and during our inspection after the recent storm, I can confirm that everything was in excellent condition. Given the severity of that storm, I truly believe that even if you had opted for 6-inch gutters, the overflow would likely have been the same, as the volume of water exceeded the capacity of any standard gutter ********* primary goal is to ensure that you receive value for your investment, and I did not feel it was right to recommend a new installation when your current system was performing adequately. We did not feel right charging you for something that we felt was unnecessary. At that time, you told me thank you for being honest with you and that you appreciated that.I understand that this may not have been the response you were hoping for. Please know that our goal is always to ensure the satisfaction of our customers, and we strive to provide honest assessments based on our expertise and experience.

      We do not recommend this company. Communication is horrible. Once the contract was signed, we were unable to get a response back from the salesman who gave the estimate and finalized the contract. We had our roof done and they had to come back to do the shed which was in the contract to be done when the house was done. The company doing the roof was unaware the shed was to be done. Then we had to call multiple times to find out when the gutters were going to be replaced. The gutters were done on the house and they were packing up to leave when asked about the shed gutters they were unaware this was to be done as well. Nails and shards of metal were left everywhere after “clean up”. The chimney vent was to be placed and the salesman noted this in the contract but was not done. After multiple calls, someone came out and placed a cap on our ACTIVE chimney. Thankfully my husband checked it and found the sealed chimney before we used our furnace. Calls placed again to have it removed and replaced with what was supposed to be a vent but no one came out to remove the cap. Temps were in the 40’s at night so my husband had to remove it himself so we could finally use the furnace. The company who did the roof and spouting did a good job but Modern Renovations and their representative were completely inept at communicating what was to be done, when it was to be done and completely oblivious when it came to the chimney vent, which could have had dire consequences. We were planning to have windows and doors done but after the experience with them, went with another contractor.

      We had a leak in our roof and I called Modern to help. Once they came out, they realized quickly that it was actually a slow leak in a pipe. They were great to work with and so helpful in referring us to a plumber that could get the leak fixed. I will definitely call them again. Thanks!!

      We hired Modern Renovations in Winchester to replace our roof. They did a fantastic job. From start to finish we had a blast working with them. Communcation was great and our new roof is beautiful. We will use them again and recommend them to our friends and family.
