    Cheat Lake Storage was responsible for storing my 21 ft pontton boat for the winter from October 2023 through May 2024. My account number is ******* and storage unit ***. I paid them $1,372 for winter storage and winterization of my boat. When my boat was pulled from storage in MAy of this year, there was damage to the inside including permanent staining of the apolestry. The batteries on the boat were also dead as a result of being left on all winter following the winterization. Cheat Lake Storage agreed to compensate me for the cost of new batteries. This total was $228.94 and a receipt was provided. It is now 5.5 weeks removed from the agreement and they have failed to compensate me for the replacement batteries. With each inquisition, I am told by the manager that she has requested the financial office make a payment and there is nothing more that she can do. I believe they are quietly refusing to compensate me. The local reputation of this business has plummeted with similar other poor experiences from customers.
