On 09/30/24 i took the only vehicle I own in for repair. It was misfiring. Not running correctly. I had codes pulled for vehicle and took it to my local shop. They initially kept the vehicle for 3 weeks because they couldn't fix the problem they rigged a ground wire and other parts charged us $1509.40. Within 2 days we had to return to the shop for the same codes. It was kept another day and returned. When we went to drive it again, we got stranded in the vehicle. Had codes pulled again, same codes were pulling that we already paid them to fix. We had to get rental cars throughout this time. As it was my only way to go. We took the vehicle back a 3rd time , they kept it a week and never even looked at it. I went to inquire about the repair. When I started recording the owner, he gave me the keys and told me to leave.

On 9/20/24 this customer brought their vehicle into my garage. The customer was saying that they had just bought this vehicle from a used car dealer in the northern part of the state and that the engine was misfiring really badly. He had the vehicle scanned and diagnosed by one of the parts stores, he then asked for my garage to do a tune up on it. He also asked us to check the brakes. My garage checked the brakes, and it needed front and rear brake pads, and 3 calipers would not release, so we contacted the  owner with a quote for the tune up that he wanted, and the brakes and calipers that it needed and he told us to go ahead and do all that work.

After the tune up the customer's vehicle was still missing and it also had very little power when accelerating; so my garage scanned it and it had an EVAP code and an 02 sensor code. We contacted him again and he told us to put those parts, EVAP and 02, on. We replaced the EVAP and 02 and it still wasn't running on all 8 cylinders which is when we ran a ground wire on the right side to the engine, running the ground wire seemed to fix the problem.

The customer then came in, paid his bill and picked up the  vehicle. About three weeks later, he came back and said he had the same problem. We scanned the vehicle, and found 2 different cylinder misfires in the left side. All 4 cylinders on the right side were firing, so we ran a ground wire to the engine on the left side. Two or three days later, he brought the vehicle back and said it was not running right; and I told him that I would check it out, but I was booked up for a couple days, so it would be a couple days until we could get to it.

They came back 2 days later, and his wife started cussing and screaming at my secretary: she was scared and called me to please come down to the garage as soon as possible. When I arrived at the garage and walked in the front door, he never said anything but his wife started screaming and cussing. I asked her was she recording because I saw her holding her cell phone straight up and pointed in my direction, she said yes I am. Then, I told her that I wasn't arguing with her, and for her to have her lawyer to contact me because, she told me that she was suing me.

As far as the rental cars go, I don't know, but he did use my wife's van one time, my son’s truck one time and one of my employees took him to Beckley to the hemp store one time in my employee's truck. She asked for their keys back when she told me she was suing me. I have to say that he was always very nice, but she was hollering and screaming and cursing the only time I seen or spoke to her was when she came in to the garage the last day and got her keys.

I offered to try to fix the problem, but wasn't going to let his wife scream and curse my secretaries.
